  1. only need taco if hire or reward as I use 7.5 ton horse box no need for taco also u can use a log book if u wish instead of taco. But your right newer truck types only about two . So looks like I will be going down ford route .Don't dismiss the Isuzu, the are bloody good trucks and not quite as pumped up on steroid as the Rangers. Isuzu are well build but just seem to lack power of ranger think towing it would be sluggish so think it ford for me tooThat's why I swerved the smaller engined ranger, my mate does digger demonstrations and said it was underpowered and not to touch it, bite the bull
  2. Nope, 2.8, I was after a hilux before I went ranger because of that.
  3. I just had a service check up (free) at 35k and my pads are not even half way worn yet If any motor done discs and pads in 3k I would be looking for them to replace FOC

That's what I had been told socks,

  6. I can imagine that, they love anything they can squeeze into. Mine always tries to get into my shoe (but when I'm wearing them!) She was in her element as I was putting that hutch together, polystyrene and cardboard everywhere. I'm lucky in the fact I can shut the gate (pictured in the photo) and she can run around with no way of escaping. She gets out most days for a hour I sit and have a cuppa and watch her dance around and torment my cat . When we eventually get out chasing bunnies she should be plenty fit enough, she used to jump up and grab the wire to the old hutch (it was on tall

  8. Exactly the problem I had last year mate, ended up with the ranger 3.2 limited for the very reason you state. Isuzu are about the other only one, the dmax looks quite good as I was checking one out last week. I should add, my ranger pulls like a train, I have maybe possibly been overweight once or twice.......... It pulls 3.5 ton like stink, get some odd looks overtaking people with a digger on the back Also pretty bloody good off road, on road tyres ! Bit of weight in the back and it just goes ! Only just put some general grabbers on the back after 30k with factory tyres, fronts a
  9. That will do the job nicely, I must get my Arse in gear and build mine a new hutch so they can have more room, but I do have a large pen they often have a good few hours in during the day, one thing they seem to love is a plastic watering can.
  10. What age and price you looking for

    Hornets

I've seen more hornets this year than I have wasps, don't like either so if I do see one I will chance getting stung to eradicate it.
  12. Can't wait to see it all camo'd up, will look like that thing they done on top gear to cross the desert, I think he ran it over and ripped it off if I remember rightly. Not been rude, but I did fair chuckle when I saw what you had made.
  13. Oh don't, years ago we ratchet strapped my mates kitchen chair to the back of his quad for shooting, I was the dummy who got to test it, sat 6 foot above the rider, it wasn't exactly the best ride in the world, shot some rabbits with it though.
  14. Too good to scrap them mate, the postage would be a killer or I would have them for my place.
  15. Looking good pal, get a blinding layer of sand over the top and a dpm, as above I would also put provision for services in, even if it's just a duct for now, takes minutes, costs pence but saves fortunes and hassle down the line.
  16. Yep, And it just so happens I have two of this years kits that are just about ready to make a start in life, it all fell into place today I have to say. I will say it's a tad early for me this year though, I will wait a bit longer, may try a few smaller sets, but I still seen plenty of young around, and the ground is like rock, won't be easy getting pegs in.
  17. I been doing some digger work for a farmer and today the next door hose farm owner approached me to see if I would put some water mains in for them, so I went and had a look after I finished, nice little job, but the place was over run with rabbits, all over the bloody place, I mentioned them to her as you do, and she said yeah the bloody things are a pain, she has a bloke who goes shooting but in TWO years he hasn't shot one ! So I duly offered my services, she snatched my arm off, around acres of pasture, sparse hedges you can walk through, holes everywhere, lovely ferreting ground, she
  18. Same as, I just got shot of my last lot, bloody things, attacking each other for the slightest reason, then attacking each other if they didn't have a reason, got fed up with it, I sold a few eggs, didn't find a great deal of interest in them round here, had one woman who loved them, used to struggle to get £2 a dozen,
  19. Did you manage any photos mate ? Am certainly interested in them, can you post ?
  20. Received your feathers today been working this evening on a few bits and bobs I'll take some pictures over the weekend to show you what I have made from them I'm looking forward to showing you! I thought they were jet black at first but they have nice colours running through them they are actually very pretty. Glad you got them, they didn't get trashed in the post did they ?Yes they look quite plain at first glance, but get them out in the sun and you should be able to see a sheen on them and quite a few different colour bands in them, looking forward to seeing what you have done, I have lo

  22. My dogs proper name is beau, think it's French for beautiful woman And we have a feral farm cat called Loki after the God of mischief/trouble
  23. I have a nice heritage bronze turkey call Chris, his name is short for Christmas as that's when he will repay all my hard work.
  24. I have about a dozen walnut trees on the go waiting to be big enough to plant, have been planting a few round the farm for probably close to 30 years, along with Apple, pear, plum, cherry, also been doing the obligatory ash and oak, just keep putting them in hedgerows, corners of fields, edges of spinneys and round the ponds, I love trees and feel the need to replace some of what we have taken over the years. Some of them are looking good, and it really changes the skyline having a few mature trees about the place, not to mention the benefits for the wildlife and associated shooting.
  25. Have seen those tf barbel and tf big river barbel for £49.99 which I didn't think was bad, think they were a 2lb tc though
