  1. Thanks fellas, looking forward to it arriving tomorrow more than I am Christmas
  2. I just put some general grabber at's on my ranger, I wasn't looking for anything too aggressive as I also do a lot of road miles, but I needed much more than road tyres as when the motorway finishes I am usually driving around a field, often wet and muddy, usually pulling a loaded trailer. I must say, my first impressions, they really handle off road exceptionally well, the road manners are good, I gave it a boot full on a wet roundabout and they didn't budge, they are just very slightly noisier than the goodyear roads I had on before, but after a couple of days I don't notice it now.
  3. Sorted now thanks, bought a new a & m, should be here on Friday
  4. I use red, or Nv, I did try Amber and gen but it just seemed odd to me, not sure it made any difference to them though
  5. A guy I work with bought a navara with them on, said they were awful and changed them within a fortnight
  6. Yes, that helps a lot mate, thanks for the info, I will be having a look at it this week hopefully, be nice to sort it out as from what I have done so far it's a bloody accurate tool.
  7. Did that include a gauge ?
  8. Well, spent some time with it today, put quite a few through it and it has loosened up quite well, run a few through the chrono and it's pretty consistent at a tad over 11ftlb. One thing I will say, at 35 yards it is accurate, very accurate, putting them into a 5p sized group every time, and that was with some fair wind gusting on and off, that really impressed me. Still don't like the cocking, even though it's loosened up a lot, it still feels alien compared to anything else I have.
  9. Looking for a replacement cylinder for my hw 100kt if anyone has one, or even an aftermarket a+m. Cheers.
  10. Ha ha, I had already asked that question, as I am also looking for a new cylinder.

A lot of that would have been maggots, and possibly some carrion as well
  12. Jok, bang on the money here, they will often slow down at this time, I have just over 200 birds, and lucky if I get 5 or 10 eggs a day at the moment, some days just one or two, but they are all in serious moult, happens every year as I use all natural light, I don't mess with the birds clocks.
  13. To me Thanks Jon, and cheers for the recommendation Mac, it's going on my hw100kt (just as soon as I source another cylinder for it) Jon, your pellets will be on the way in the morning mate, sorry for the delay.
  14. May as well go public with the price mate, as I would be interested in one !
  15. Does it make a nice job on them, like yourself, something easy to use that does the job properly would be welcome.
  16. You lot have done my head in with all this cider talk, now this weekend I gotta make a press !
  17. Nice job, turning into a right little butcher now ain't ya, I don't do enough to get good at it. What's this knife sharpener then, always looking at new ideas to make life easier.
  18. I preferred my rangie over my disco, never did gel with the disco even though the only thing it ever needed was tyres. Yeah they rot like nowt you can imagine, when I broke my rangie for bits, the chassis looked like it hadn't been out the factory a year, it really did look mint, we were all amazed as it was off road most days at work, the body work was also immaculate.
  19. That's not isolated to manuals, my auto one had it as well, the light I believe is actually fuel pump pressure, mine did it for 5 or 6 years, only ever a blip for a second or so, never caused any major problems so I let it be. Thinking about it, I should still have a reconditioned pump for one in my workshop, air con pump, belts, filters, God only knows what else is on the shelves for it.
  20. If it's the 2.5 dse I have the variable plug and play chip, more Hp and better economy, I think it gave me about 7 to 8mpg more, and upped the power about 50hp, these figures are from memory but they were in that ball park. If it's had the coil conversion done then that's a lot of headaches out the way. If it's auto, do NOT be tempted to coast out of gear, they usually only do a few mile before they go pop ! My Mrs blew my box up trying to coast it downhill to the garage when she had run it down to fumes ! Other things were props, it seemed to go through the uj's a bit, but then mi
  21. They are a good comf truck, not great on fuel but I had worse, problem is, some were good, most had issues, do you know much about range rovers ? If not you will after a while of running that ! I have a ton of spare parts in my workshop for one, air suspension was a favourite let down, as well as the hot starting issue, electrics were not great, but the engine was good and strong, when they are running well they a real nice motors, it just kept having faults appear
  22. Must admit they were bloody good motors, and yeah they still fetch big money
  23. Technically you can't, you can drive a tractor on a car licence, in fact you can drive them on a bike licence or provisional licence, but legally you are supposed to take a tractor test to tow anything, wonder how many farmers actually know that when they employ harvest students ? I grew up on a farm, and at 16 the old man made me take my tractor test so I could do corn cart, having been doing it for 4 years seemed a bit pointless to me at the time. You are also restricted on mileage, I think it was an 8 mile round trip if I remember correctly, or you had to run on white diesel.
  24. Has it got the zip in fleece inside ? If so and it's in good nick, I would have it for £60 posted if napper doesn't want it.
  25. I can see there been a niche for those yanky tanks, not sure about a living though, I mean, in the uk it don't matter a feck what it can tow, you can't go over 7.5 ton with out upping your licence surely ! My truck 'could' tow 5ton, but I couldn't do that on a car licence, so all they have really done is make the vehicle legal to do it, not the driver, and let's be honest, at some of the mpg figures I have seen quoted, I would think a lorry is going to work out cheaper anyway !
