  1. Hold over, how I have always done it and to be truthful I don't really think about it now, couldn't be doing with faffing around dialing in, my mate does that and he wastes lots of time and misses opportunities.
  2. If it's anything like ours, 500 acres shooting land won't hold a lot of dens anyway, I've nailed a lot more than 40 on our ground in the last year, but can say we have only ever had one den on it in the last 3 years. They cover a lot of ground in an evening, and they will often find a nice untouched bit of land, ours use a local nature reserve.
  3. Go steady ole boy, you gotta drag them back remember ? Well done rich, things are going well by the looks of it.
  4. Agreed, I have a few and they are superb. not a great turkey fan myself, but I still do a few for folk round here.
  5. Scott has helped me out on a few bits, knowledgable bloke and born totally in the wrong generation.
  6. Cheaper than buying from a supermarket, but that doesn't include any time spent, just pure outlay, if I added my time, fencing, arks.......... That and the fact it should be much better quality than supermarket stuff, the equivalent free range to this is silly money to buy, I will hone my costs as I go along so should end up been good value.
  7. Where's he going back too ? 200 mile is some detour ! They were about 30 week old, I sure will enjoy ?
  8. Yeah, I'm ususually curious about stuff like that as well, had I only seen it a bit earlier, Learn something new every day. I also wasn't sure how fatty they would be, but pretty pleased with them, especially like you say, rare breeds normally pile fat on. only thing on the hock was hanging weight, and number 1, and weight and number 2 on second pig. The chops cut real nice, well it all did to be fair, looking forward to trying it tomorrow, the offal, well I eat the liver and heart, the dogs get the lungs as I'm not bothering with haggis this time. Oh man, the size of some
  9. Only just seen this so didn't ask, it's more about the flavour for me than how fat/lean they are, although I was very pleased these ones were not too fatty. How much longer you got in Norway, hope it's all going well for you.
  10. Bloody well want to have they life they have led
  11. The first two went to slaughter yesterday, 138 and 152lb hanging weight. Can't wait to pick them up
  12. Stunning birds and they always get my attention
  13. I know where a real nice one lives in a shed, low mileage, but the twat won't part with it, won't ever do anything with it, but won't part. Shame as it will just rust away.
  14. They can travel on land when the ground is wet, I know a farm pond that's never been stocked, but I have caught one in there.
  15. Don't joke, I do have a cannon, it lives in my lounge next to log burner ?

    Fogles Ok

Quite surprised that on a hunting forum people are commenting how a double standards anti is a decent guy.
  17. My local park certainly has, and a jolly fine selection of tools they have as well, I've never been privy to it all, but I've seen a few bits and I would say they have more than enough to deal with most eventualities.
  18. I do a lot of work in a well known safari park, driving a crew cab transit tipper through on an occasion, I was greeted by the resident rhino in the road, and it honestly gave me a shiver when you see close up just how big they are, and you can see the power in them, never before have I sat in a vehicle and felt quite so vulnerable, except maybe when we was chased by an angry bull elephant in Kenya, another impressive creature with some stature
  19. I think it answers the .177 or .22 debate
  20. Would you rather they waited till it had before having the means to deal with it ?
  21. I've got a fair selection of .25 if you want, but sounds like you tried the usual suspects already and pat has sorted the heavies. i find the lighter jsb are favourite.
  22. Curios to know, if your out with your dog, how can it get stolen without you realising pretty quick it's not on the end of the lead ? As said though, if it was stolen, I hope the scum rot in hell, pure lowlife
  23. He's the one I would like to see out of all of them. I also think Johnson may come across a buffoon but think he would do a better job than May, god help us the Jc never gets in power, that thought makes me shudder
