Ban U18s on private land ? WHY ?!? I've signed and I'll pass this on to all my members. I don't think it would immediately effect the club setting, but every wedge has a thin end ! I've also posted the link to our FB group, and I'm sure the whole club will back it. We have kids as young as 9 come along, and many adult members who have been shooting since that age - I'd hate to see a single person put off the sport, due to some badly thought-out, completely unnecessary legislation.

Loving the look of those copper Rabbit Magnum's ! I put Bisley mags through my Ratty, at 10 - 12m ,(21 and a bit grains, if memory serves), for rats and squirrels.........heck of a thump, but now I'm wondering what destruction those little babies might bring down !

"There are three versions of this story. Yours, mine and the truth........." (And I don't quote Robbie Williams all that often ! :D)

I think it's important to add that how news is absorbed has changed drastically in recent years. I don't know anyone who reads a newspaper on anything like a regular basis. I'll only get The Times on a Saturday, to fill a wet weekend ! The rise of online news, and fake news, allows anyone and everyone to seek out their own version of the truth, which further confirms their own beliefs and biases. The effect of that has been the increasing polarization of opinion, which is so evident that I'm not even going to list examples. I just wish that more people would inform themselves b

I've actually had this confirmed to me by a source close to a minister. A Westminster insider denied his office's involvement, but this was further challenged by a whistleblower, who showed me documents leaked by an anonymous official.

Met police chief locked himself inside car while officer was stabbed
Blackbriar replied to Lid's topic in General Talk
It's easy, from a position of safety, to say "He should have done ABC", or "I would have done XYZ", but very few of us (thankfully) will ever find ourselves in such a position, so we can't possibly know what we might or might not do. BUT, he is an officer of the law, and a senior one at that, who should set an example to his officers, and lead from the front. I'm sure that other officers, and probably civilians too, were heading towards the chaos, to do what they could..........yet he made a decision to do nothing. He, above anyone else, must realise that he failed his colleague, and -
You'd need a heck of a vice...........but definitely not the magnifier !

My youngest stepson has been researching his family. He discovered that his great uncle was mentioned in dispatches, during the Great War, and posthumously received the Distinguished Conduct Medal, if memory serves. None of his family had ever heard of the man, who was killed retrieving German grenades from his trench, and throwing them back !

I'm supposed to have it, but haven't for 4 or 5 years now. The good Lady never misses it - then moans for the next fortnight how it's made her ill !!

A rifle-less Big Mac ?!? That's like Bonnie without Clyde..........Little without Large.........Rolls without Royce...........Marks without...........you get the idea. I'm sure the bunnies will only be out of peril for a very short while, mate ! What have you got coming ? Or is it a surprise ?

Nice write up, mate, and 3 is time well spent. I went out on Tuesday, and we put the jeep in a ditch after 20 minutes - game over ! Not exactly our finest hour...........:(

That depends who owns the networks they use. ......... I use Post Office broadband (can't recommend it !), and was thinking of trying TalkTalk.........until an engineer told m that PO rent their lines from TT, but it doesn't make a lot of difference, as all copper line internet is ultimately rented from BT anyway ! Conversely, I changed my mobile provider from 3 to that new Smarty network - unlimited minutes at a very cheap price. When the SIM arrived, it said in the box "Smarty. Powered by 3". (Still a better deal though !) You pay your money, you make your choice.
