It found its way onto a ledge above the ma-in-law's front door. It's a pet animal, and has since been returned to its owner. She managed to get this picture, but the question remains..........what is it ?

I use an old Galaxy Ace that's as old as God's dog...........and I love it ! Then again, all the bells and whistles don't interest me - functionality is all that matters to me ! Several friends have got much more modern Galaxy's and the clove them, too !

That's nothing ! My sister -in- law is proper scatty and absent minded..........annoys the feck out of me. She bought a new phone and lost it before she got out of the shop !

You've got a point there ! Not really a problem for us, though. The good Lady has fibromyalgia, which bring about tremendous memory problems, among other issues - hence, she can't remember passwords, card numbers etc (or where she's put my stuff !) - "so it's probably better if I keep them safe, love.". Which means it's all down to me.........and you have to get up early to catch me out !

A thought has just occurred to me.......... I believe the cake was meant to have Bert and Ernie, from Sesame Street, on it. Couldn't the bakers have simply said "We can't make that cake. Those characters are copyrighted." ?

Welcome mate. It's an uphill struggle to get permissions - especially your first one. You can't realistically expect anyone to give theirs up - you need to put in the legwork and effort yourself. Knock on lots of doors and try a bit of countryside networking, making the most of every contact and opportunity - it's not what you know, it's who you know ! Good luck !
