    May has made her highly thought out strategic move ! Tomorrow's vote has been postponed ! She's clearly gone to short term Plan B, which is to go back to EU and tweek the deal. They will tell her to sod off, so she'll need short term Plan B2, and so on and so on. She can't take this deal to parliament because she'll never, ever get it through. All she can do is keep kicking the can down the road...........

    I take exception to this generalisation ! I am not from "Oop North"...........I am very proudly from the Midlands. I lived a good few years 'down that London' - a miserable, god forsaken 5hithole from beginning to end, not a single redeeming quality - rude unwelcoming people, too much noise and cr4p beer. I also lived a couple of years in Maidstone, even further 'darn Sarth' - all I can say is that it's twin town is probably Hiroshima !

    My local news had a report on these guys, who play their home games in my neck of the woods. They formed a Sunday team, to help each other through probably the most traumatic of losses. They play in memory of their children, who were stillborn or suffered neo-natal death.     The good Lady bought me one of those beginner sets from Decathlon last birthday - probably only 20 or 30 quid, but decent enough to start me off - rod, reel, fly line and half a dozen basic flies. I picked up casting quickly enough, but it took me a while to get out of floppy wrist syndrome, on the last movement. I used the time waiting for the bite alarm to go off to practise casting. I'm really taken with it - I like the idea of trying to make something happen, rather than sitting around, waiting for something to happen ! Give it a go - you'll love it !

What's got me comcerned is how many of the hard-Brexiteers will actually go through a lobby that will effectively be signing their own PM's death warrant, pave a way for a no-deal Brexit and possibly open the door of Downing Street to Comrade no.1 ?     Or, and I think it's increasingly likely........ She gets her deal through ! Not on its own merits, because it's so obviously a piece of 5hit, but because she's taken the line of "no plan B...........it's this or nothing !". If her deal isn't accepted, and if the EU are truly not prepared to renegotiate (and why would they be ?), that leaves us with the very real prospect of a no deal Brexit..........the one thing all sides fear the most !     Mrs May can't be her plan through parliament (not on its own merits, at least !), Tory rebels are coming round to the idea of a second referendum...............and the European court has todsy said that the UK can revoke Article 50, and remain in the EU. Is it just me, or can anyone else sniff a stitch-up on the horizon ?

    No significant risk ? He killed a 4 year old, a 2 year old and a small baby...........how large does a risk have to be, before it's "significant" ? Does that mean he only presents a minor risk ? Medium, maybe ? How does a 'man' who killed three defenceless children, in a drunken rage, NOT present a risk ?     I've searched every permutation of "bullied Syrian boy revealed as gang member"..............all I can find is a similar film, of his sister receiving similar treatment.     When I first heard this, a couple of days ago, I was utterly incensed - the good Lady had to tell me to calm down ! Today, I'm still as angry ! I'm sure it would be along the "he's got human rights" line of BS, but Rotherham council should be forced to publicly justify their decision, and explain why they DON'T think that you give up your rights when you rspe a 15 year old !

    I don't quite understand why anyone feels the need to donate money, and the nationality of the lad concerned is completely immaterial, but that aside................ (UNPOPULAR OPINION ALARM !) This is the kind of thuggish and yobbish behaviour that drags us all down. The lad who did it is a bully and a coward - picking on a lad half his size, who has one arm in plaster, while his mates stand around filming and laughing. Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves and, if he was my son, he'd have his ar5e kicked all the way to school to apologise !

    Sitting idly around on rain soaked day, I just stumbled across this charming little film, on Talking Pictures TV, who listed it as being made in 1945, not 1930s as the YouTube link suggests............
