  1. Hark at you Idea.., with ya best crimbo jumper an badge that I can't quite read, plus sporting those 'fully waterproof' plymsoles... ain't you the new future of 'Lurcherdom'...! Naw mate, well done you....
  2. Thank you. These are just something different, for lads who, as you've said, want the traditional type, but only want to be buying one, and know that when they are dragging their dog off something dead in the dark that the collar won't snap. The idea of these is to offer an alternative to the similar leather ones. You're right mate, I did get around to it in the end, too long enough though eh!? Now ain't that the truth....!! I've bred an kept 'strong' lurchers for the past 20 years and 'I know' just how much the right collar is needed in those situations! Collars that your
  3. :toast: :toast: :toast: Yehayeee.... I knew sometime or other you'd suss a way... an ya finally done it...!! Feckin great stuff mate...!! Made up for ya!!! :victory: Now for eveyone else.... Many of you know SS is a damn good friend of mine, one of the few blokes I'd ever really trust, with anything...! And though I really do belive he makes the strongest, most hard wearing, (not to mention smartest!) stuff on the market... I know it really don't suit everyone, especially those who like to keep things 'traditional' and like there old school Whippet and Lurcher 'style' collars
  4. Ha ha Vosey.. Back in the day eh... It was all trains or even hitch hike to get to anywhere there was a 'gathering'...! I remember trying to get to Llangollen, pre-driving, started off with the bus to Kirkby and hiched the rest.. down the East Lancs & M6. Via fecking Birmingham..! ....But I got there... and got to see some of the greats, Gouldy with Smithy and his offspring, (all for sale), Nuttall, Middleton etc all havin the craic. The Liverpool crew, all sporting thier new Minshaw stuff and plenty of 'well worked terriers', the Wigan lads, lads who went on to breed the Pie dog, 'Ol Len
  5. Used to have one of 'em Guinness ones, I'll get some pics up of a couple I have.
  6. Him on the left (standing!)
  7. Simply Google images mate, tons of stuff if ya look, even if you can't find it exact, any 'decent' artist should be able to take ispiration from YOUR lead..!
  8. I have a massive eagle tattooed on my chest (what a f*****g idiot eh???) didn't have to keep one to have it done tho!!!! Have a look online for some inspiration!!!! Where you inspired by that fella from 'Ain't half hot mum'..!
  9. Remember when he died, '77. I was ten, just leaving me nans house an she came running out to tell us Elvis was dead.. I didn't know what the feckin fuss was all about..! I do now..!!
  10. Fine lookin hound MrB, though the litter looked first class too.
  11. Is the pup teething Millet? Apart from the spikes all the damage it could do is a dodgy tummy from a bit of 'over sap' but natural things know natural things, shouldn't do any harm, i'm sure it'll be just a phase...
  12. Just a little note on this type of track, Westaughton is due to open again soon. These tracks are getting few an far between, give 'em your support and get down there every so often.
  13. Stabba, both of mine are moulting like feck now. That lurcher thing you seen, moults like a barsteward but never looks too bad, just brush an blade it everyday, do it on a walk too, otherwise the garden looks like a ghost town out of a western, with hair tumbleweed blowing everywhere! The half cross is different, every year it turns into a fecking tip, not only moulting but gets the worst dandruff too. With him I simply bath every other week for a couple of weeks, pulls more unwanted hair out than simply brushing or using a blade and I step up the oil in the diet too.
  14. Ellis, by event do you mean show & gamefair?? If so, there are a few close to home and most come up on here or check out listings in the CMW. If you see one you fancy drop me a pm and 'if' i'm going i'll give you a lift, though i'm sure others would too.
  15. Thats the most honest write up on any dog i've read on here Dunkanon, I hope you find the right home and she makes her new owner as happy as she made you.
  16. When I moved in to this village, i was chatting to the neighbours, the old woman next door but one said about it being quiet 'but you'll see the flashing lights from time to time over the fields. They are the badger baiters!!' Well, my first thought was to enlighten her, not only to what lamping is but also the fact that there ain't a badger for 20 miles of here BUT I simply let her and her thoughts be... Think it came as a bit of a shock a few weeks later as I said a cheery 'hello, nice night' and marched past her and into the darkness with a big lurcher and a lamp...! She still says hello
  17. Crackin pics Sandymere, love the subject matter too, especially the face on that old bugger, with the scales, as his whippet is a shade 'over'..!
  18. Mate it's the Rogues & Running Dogs book, Jimmy 'long hair' Keeling wrote that book and had sent Plummer the draught as he'd already had success with his Modern Ferreting book, Plummer nicked it lock stock and added a chapter or two and then, by way of remorse, added Jimmy a few times in its pages! All of the older Liverpool dogmen knew of the book Jimmy wrote and that Plummer stole it. GTE knows about it well.
  19. Drop 'Bull Terrier' a pm, he may be able to help.
  20. In a world and a site chock full of people wanting to learn sommat, i'm surprised this post is going so slow, really did think folk would jump at it!
