  5. Just thought I'd throw a subject out there, that i've been mulling over for a bit. It's been a while since i've owned a digging dog, though I still get out from time to time and in these times, where we have to work our dogs with the utmost care and control does anyone have or had a youngster that has self entered? Just for the record, i'm talking about dogs that have dropped in (or flew in!), through total instinct, when you wern't expecting it and continued to graft fror the rest of their days? I'd also like to know if anyone has had a dog that wasn't bought or used as an earth d
  6. Andy, first off, what a crackin thred, thank you, next to the Seagull one they are THE best threds posted on lurchers on here and long may it run unhinderd.. Just thinking back to the dogs of the line that came to this city, OBO, Traveller etc and the first I seen run, the one BMc brought down who's name escapes me(?) what light can you shed on them?

  8. Ha.. Must be the area mate, my neighbours were very much the same when they first moved in and started feeding the birdys. Fecking rats everywhere and when I went round to tell 'em the error of their ways they becond me in to a pitch black house with the family perched in the kitchen watching them feed an play in the garden, they thought thats what living in the country was all about.. wildlife!! Anyways after a 'strong' word or two an a loan of my crappy airgun to their keen 17 year old. He shot one, they stopped feedin 'em and then asked me about getting a dog. A tidy lurcher was obtained
  9. If its anything like last year whoever judges this one better bring the factor 50, last years lurcher judge was in a terrible state..!! Cracking show, I hope to make it.
  10. Great song... How hot is this girl.....!!!!
  11. Yep, sure does, it never got any better than that for them IMO...
  12. Some nice gear there and with a decent artist behind the gun someone could end up with some premo work...
  13. The only two things that bother me about it are the prices (because i'm old enough to remember!) an the daft names. Other than that, so fecking what...!! Our lurchers are created twixt different breeds, so as are a lot of working terrier types. Lets face it, purebreds where either created a long time ago by those seeking one particular need with, and we are looking to the long time past now, maybe limited choices around them to breed from. Maybe i'm nieve but from what I know of dogs since the boom of kennel club registration, only hunters seemed to harness two (or more) breeds together to '

Thats why Dogdigger organises our shows....i just turn up and look pretty....feel free to come say hello at our next show.....or not :-) As for that T-shirt......the new class nex year will be puppy couples... i would have loved to see if i could span them  Wasn't only the judge who was having a hard time with them, two of the trade stands were looking a bit peaky too... Like a dead heat in a Zeppelin race... I spent 10 mins with a mate and his only words were 'Der boss tits dem'... Over and over... He left early too...!
