    I've really never understood the name 'Parson Russell', why can't they just be good 'ol fashioned 'Jack Russell', because thats all they really are and like any other type, some were nicer lookin than others, big deal, didn't need to give 'em a daft name..! Never heard the term Parson in front of Russell until a few years ago. Thing is, it's swings and roundabouts with some land, now if what you think is true then time will sort it and it will re-stock again naturally, flood plane land is usually good land, some of the best, rabbits and other grazers will gradually make their way back. You could always do as HM says and speed up the process, or maybe you simply travel father afield to ferret, enough other folk have to.     Sorry to hear that. My old dog has one eye Andy and is probably just as accident prone as Don (some dogs just are!), mine's caught enough since it happened, you've just got to accept that it can be a bit frustrating for 'em and you, now. I spend weeks on end trying to find critters that only turn right...!

    I wouldn't doubt you PK, I've had some of my worst days out with the Blencathera BUT I really do think its swings and roundabouts with the fell packs lal Melbreak are doing very well this and last season, other seasons may be granted to others. Good and bad days can be granted to every pack up there. Blencathera are certainly the pack on everyone's radar, for good and bad, for the past 30 years, the pressure must be enormous on Barry, so for me, i'll always give 'em that grace...
