    Buying in a dog will always have its place and rightly so. I've bought grown dogs on in the past and they have worked out well for me but they aint the same as sommat i've reared and they almost all have left my hands a better animal BUT as well placed givaways. I've often looked back and wished i was in the market for one of my old dogs... No if's but's or maybe's but the rise of the Saluki and the coursing boom pushed Lurcher prices ever skyward.     Met Jeff F a few times, years ago at Harcolmbs International Terrier Matches, nice bloke too. Never seen his dogs go but i've heard good and bad reviews about em over the years. Never met Levi, even though he was a lot closer than Jeff, in Cheshire. I've seen a couple of his dogs out and they knew their job. Never heard a bad word said about any of his dogs when he was alive.

    I've gone back to Barbour, tried loads of new fabric coats an jackets and never liked any of em... Barbour now do new fabric jackets if you want that type and the build quality is far better than most other hunting jackets on the market. Barbour have loads of wax styles out there now so do your homework and you'll get years out of it. If your going for wax then make sure the cotton is the heavyweight. As said the Northumbria is a cracker and far more durable than the Beaufort. Just a pity they stopped making the Solway, as imo they were the best they done. Take the time to find th

    I really dont give a f**k about any petition, as a man I think Tyson Fury is a massive bellend, that would do well to act in the manner of a world champion and my only intrest in him is from what he keeps saying that he has in his boxing arsenal, which i have still yet to see! For my money, he could do with simply shutting up and getting on with his career as a professional boxer!

    Great stuff Dido, i've been on Eaton for a look around several times too but unfortunatly it's been dark and i wasn't taking the 'scenic routs'...I would love to have the chance of visiting the woods and fields mentioned in the books. Normans grandaughter came on the site after reading that people from here were reading her grandfathers books. I think her post is on the Green & Pleasant Land thred?     Brian Nuttall from Holmes Chapel is the terrier breeder. John Nuttall from Clithero was a Deerhound hybrid breeder. I used to work with an oldboy farmer years ago that bred and ran the cross with John Nuttall. He lost the tennancy of his farm back then for his coursing activity on Altcar estate. He always said that the best ones came out of a Deerhound dam to a Greyhound sire...
