  1. Done it years ago with my old EBT, at 17 years old he was the family dog and we thought it the best decision. TBH for all the family it was almost pointless, no sentiment with a box of powder. Just a waste of money for us. Nah Tomo's dead right... great post.
  2. Even this 'bitter' can say it was one hell of a game....
  3. Now that is one well put together puppy Andy... Stunner!
  4. Very impressive, like Darcy said, you'd have to have a few bob to buy that back in the day.
  5. Just worked out your pond and it is 12460 gallons (56693 litres ) that's some serious filters and pump you would need, it's recommended you turn over your pond at least once every two hours I personally try around once an hour but that's just meIf you google pond calculator it will give to pump, liner and filter sizes before you startyou say turn over ? turn the pump on you mean ? for how long at a time ? can pumps etc be set on timers ? Turnover means how long it takes to run all the water in the pond through the filter(s). Thing is Deerman, it's all relative to what fish you want to keep.
  6. Scarpa, Irish Setter - Elk Tracker, Matterhorn Brandecosse All good boots if you want sommat different.
  7. Buy coats and trousers from clothing manufactures. Buy watches from watch makers. Buy jeans from jeans manufactures. Buy boots from boot manufactures. ONLY!
  8. No problem Bosun. A motley bunch of terriers, except for Rawlinsons Beddy, that would pass for a working Bedlington of today.
  9. Good stuff Darbo, can you get the photo of Rawlinsons Bedlington, from the Salters Hall Wood badger dig?
  10. I dont understand the money that will be thrown at this 'project' when it could be used to help the true Scottish Wildcat...
  11. Damn shame Matt, sorry to read that.
  12. Morton, just thinking out loud here and in no way trying to disrespect, the breed you own and breed. A breed i much admire but looking at those early photos, i'd say the Bedlington as a type and a type, that then, as now, stood out as different. And that different seems, in the photos i've seen, more uniform than any other 'breed' around then. Tommy Dobsons old Beddys were peas in a pod and that picture showing Rawlinsons dog would pass for a working Beddy of today. They certainly dont look like the worker to worker type of other terrier types around then. So my question is, was the Bedlingt
  13. The reason you half breed is to breed truer to type a few generations later, possibly why i went the Fell route that had Beddy ancestry and not to a coloured terrier that did not, would not and could not further the breed .History learnt some of us that breed towards work, from workers, towards a type that throws type, from workers, that are a type of terrier will eventually produce a terrier of a certain type that grafts. If it fails to produce grafters,if it fails to throw to type, then advertise them on here at £400 a pop and they will soon find a fitting kennel. How many shall i put you down for?.
  14. Dont matter anyway, some one will buy em, sound crackin too... Apart from the age of the bitch and the price.
  15. Disco Minge, never been licked...
  16. I admire anyone who lives a life less ordinary, especially a lifestyle that is frowned upon by the masses. Would i have tried it... You bet, though i missed the boat and now i'm contented enough not to need such vices. Cant help looking at those that do with a little admiration though. Thing is, as hunters, shouldn't we all empathise with those that enjoy a legal, exciting passtime that is frowned upon by most of society...?
  17. Write it Scouse Gnipper, Home AN Bargain..! That stuff is good but you got to keep it moist, if it drys out (not in this weather!) It blows away.
  18. As Taz said Ray, two weeks mate but stay off it. If anyone else is thinking of sprucing up their lawn, now is the time to do it. Dead easy too, first mow your lawn, then spike your lawn with a garden fork, especially were it needs it. Mix a cheap bag of compost with a bag of topsoil in batches, mix in some grass seed (you dont need loads) then spread it over your lawn. Brush it in (with a brush!) And try to stay off it for about three weeks...!
  19. Can you honestly see anyone getting stopped walking a dog down the road bosun. You sound paranoid mate. Nope, not me Kingy but they are stopping people now. How about the lads who were prosecuted last year, here by me, walking to Altcar estate with lurchers. As they had previous they lobbed a charge of intent on it and it stuck... Look, the bottom line is that it can be used against you, if they want to use it. I'd just rather look at all the angles before i made a decision.
  20. I watched that clip on the news, i thought it noble but silly for him to do. If he'd have got that wrong it could have done serious damage. Big strong boy that he is, i'm glad it went right but he just needs to show his strength in the ring in future.
  21. Can you honestly see anyone getting stopped walking a dog down the road bosun. You sound paranoid mate. the only people who will check is them daft dog shit wardens also known as hobby bobbys.cops wont give a toss take to much of there time up , depends on how much they want to pin something on you Absolutly Gem, and it will only take bad press to make them up their game. Betcha all those so called wildlife officers will have scanners. It'd be feckin daft if they never...
  22. To be honest, i don't think i'll find a copper in a field at night armed with a scanner either BUT back in his car he'll more than likely have one. Stopped on the way out, stopped on the way home, stopped walking down the road on excercise. Personally, i think the police will ensure there is a scanner in all cars soon enough and we working dog owners, along with innercity bull breed owners, will be easy pickings for em. I honesty think they will use it as much as poss to grind us down, it'll be dead easy for em. A win win win, clamp down on bull breeds, clamp down on working dogs and make a s
  23. Best part of a flight out of almost any UK airport... Play spot the hare. Most airports are full of em.
  24. Well, i went down this mornin.
