  1. I've also seen Jack in action many times znd AT's dead right, he was a very good fox dog.
  2. Apart from the material things, more time spent watching my daugher grow up and knowing i can provide better for my family. The dogs would see some gear too..!
  3. I'm old school too and would only either take a pup or charge the price of one. That old mutt of mine is on his lazzys and still aint lined a bitch, like Fuji's, it aint for lack of trying! If anyone does want to use him, then all it will cost is £40, which is the price to get it done profesionally.
  4. Good price Socks... I'm old school and still think ALL lurchers should be cheap as feck. The higher the price the more bellends owning them imo! Does anyone else set the PFH an Preloved search engine at up to a hundred quid, just to see whats goin. And when you do see pups the advert dont say sommat like 'lovely boys and girls'...
  5. Them lace darts were great fun, used to have loads stuck under the lapel of our blazers. Always left a bit of material and frey it up for the flight. You got one of those in the back of ye head, usually in class with one of them 'silence is law' teachers and you feckin knew about it..!!
  6. I'm sure his dogs had very diluted deerhound blood, 7/8ths greyhound and the like.
  7. I had a Cowan bred Lakie years ago Bryan, it had a top-knot and linty grey undercoat if left to grow out. You could spot the Beddy blood easy.
  8. Try and keep it to the title, Reece bred gear please lads.
  9. Will he start talking with a highland or lowland Scottish accent now...??
  10. Never good but if you follow vets advice, a front leg break, in a terrier, usually goes well. Good luck.
  11. I think them Chillingham cattle are also in Crocky Redquil, sure i read thats what they were, mother and calf. The farm is a rare breeds centre. If you do visit the farm, check out the meercats that constantly escape from their enclosure on the scrounge for grub and constantly get 'shoo'd' back in, which they do almost with a smile! Oh yer, feeding time is 4pm daily and the noise from the goats, sheep and pigs, coupled with chickens & meercats running everywhere is a sight to behold... Like i said, bloody good fun!
  12. Hound and greyhound kennels i think.
  13. The Molyenux family (Earls of Sefton), well the first one, came over with William the Conqueror and after giving Harlod some stick near Hastings was given land all around my house. Building his first house just down the road, along with St Helens Church (Sefton Church). Him and his subsiquent Crusading family are entombed there and thats worth a visit too! Just down the road from the church is 'Old Racecourse Road', where the first Grand National was run before moving to Aintree and over the back of the church is Altcar estate, home of the Waterloo Cup. If you can zoom in on one of those pho
  14. Deffo Darbo, as well as the house the walled gardens are great, then the stables and the farm. The real treasure is the old kennels. Not part of the visitor trail, they are magnificent. Maybe AT can get some photos on one of his walks.
  15. I think the city council now own it Dido, i think a lot of the sporting art is now in the Walker Art Gallery in the city.
  16. I didn't get it, on the second snap i got rumbled and had to go but you can see the scale of it with my daughter stood in front, its very impressive. What i did notice was that most of the real hunting pics were slightly out of the way, which made them harder to get decent pics.
  17. It's been a fair few years since i last went to Croxteth Hall. I've hunted in its grounds on many occasions, though lads like All Terrain and others who live on its borders know it like the back of their hands. This time it was simply a family day out, to the Hall, gardens & farm and honestly, what a bloody good day out! Why i'm posting this is because of the rich sporting heratage the Molyenux family and the house have. Some of the pictures in the house are fantastic and my sneeky (your not supposed to take pictures!) Phone efforts certainly dont do them justice but here are some bits y

  21. Great player and good man Ginola, i wish him all the best...
  22. Gotta say, there are some cracking photos on this thred, brilliant stuff! I like beddy crosses, from the first time i seen one in the late 70's i always fancied one but it never happened... I always think good beddy blood marries well with good saluki blood and for where i live, i might just take a punt on that type, if i could find it, in the future.
  23. "There's a rat in me kitchen what am i gonna do"
  24. Alex, do remember that old picture/poster that came out in the 70's 'They Boxed At The Stadium' was its title. A collection of all the old Liverpool fighters from way back?
