  1. Hope its a good turnout bosun.Rip to your mate ste. What types did he breed/work terrier/spaniel/hound crosses? if you dont mind me asking? He started with a hard bitten red terrier bitch (who's name escapes me right now) and he put that to a quality ESS dog.I remember, as a kid, meeting him close to where i live now. All i wanted to hear was about his working terriers and he's telling me his best bitch is in pup to a spaniel... I was devistated..! Plenty of others thought the same too, Ste had some of the best digging dogs around and this was sacrilage..! He bred his litter and started work
  2. Shave them... Seriously, housing space is key, give them enough room! If poss, just whilst it's so hot, relocate your housing to more shade if you can. Keep housing really clean, change drinking water at least twice daily, cooler water is more appealing. For sommat different, cut one side down of an old washing up bowl, put a couple of inches of water in and the'll have a nice cool bath when they want. Oh and those hammocks are bloody brilliant!
  3. If fat Sam gets any job its out of desperation. He sign's on the line and you know that clubs in deep shit and fighting for survival and, to be fair, for that job there's no one better. Same as the national side, in deep trouble, total underachievers and the 'big jowled bore' should be the very ticket BUT this ain't club football, those players arn't his, not stuck there, so will it work... Well, i've no idea, he's won nothing and never had the best players and primadonnas around him, nor has he had the pressure of the nation upon him but he was never gonna turn it down was he..! So, I'm gon
  4. I suppose it's the same as lurchers really. Under 23" category for example. You can get all shapes and sizes. 3/4 bull to 3/4 whippet and everything in between. Rough. Smooth. Long. Short. Fat. Thin. Judge just picks one he likes the look and feel of as far as I know? Thats my thoughts too Gaz. No more difficult than judging lurchers, provided you've got the right judge.

  6. Cheers fellas. Can she enter the bushing dog show with being a Plummer or not Bosun? I know you said no pedigree dogs. Not sure how a Plummer is classed. No mate... I'd be frightened you might loose her in the crowd...! Only joking, we have a Plummer class too. The busher's all have to be crossbreds.
  7. The Merseyside WT&LC will be holding bushing dog classes at this years Cheshire Game & Angling Fair, Peover Hall, Cheshire on Sunday 7th August. The entrants must be crossbreds, bred for the purpose of working in cover and flushing quarry. The classes will be dedicated in memory to the late Stephen (Ste) Mouat, one of Liverpool's finest hunters and and a breeder of this type for nearly 40 years. There will be a trophy and prize money for the winner. This is a new one for the club, we hope it will do well and grow. See you all there...! Thanks

  9. White lakelands had no Russel in the mix,the nearest thing to a Patterdale is a black and tan terrier. I think Anthony Barker would have said different...

    Kelly Brook

Very smart girl too, produces a few shows for tv, that Love Island shite is one of her's. Like's her bad boy, toy boys too. Do you think she couldn't put the pie down for this weight gain... Nah, she's a very cleaver girl..! Any publicity is good publicity.
  11. Most Farmers would not know the blood line of the working border Collie dogs they own never mind Lurcher men . That would be my take on it too Dai. It'd be interesting if someone had a name of a line for the type of collie lurchermen would want.
  12. This is the attitude i love with guard breed afficianado's.... You lot just dont get it, because some of us only need a little alerting bark from our dogs and we'll do the fecking rest... I wouldn't need a 'guard breed' to protect me and mine, i'd do that quite well myself. Guard breed 'gloryfying' is a dangerous and cruel game to play with the masses. Too many bellends watching Youtube then want a man trained dog... Like the petbulls and bull crosses, the real enemy will come from within...

    Kelly Brook

Kelly Brook is lovely, always has been.
  14. A third 'domino' topples, with all heading west... By it's very location, Turkey has always been on a kife edge. Of late, the dictatorship goverment, underlying islamic fractions and a powerful land army have all been stiring. Looks like the pan has boiled over tonight but what or who turned the heat up..???

  16. Cracker that thing... Someone could have some fun with it.
  17. He'd be the last person I'd want BUT I can see the logic in that post.... I'd trust Allardyce to steadily improve on things, more than any other name... And in me writing that it brings home all the more how bad things really are...
  18. Legs are still killing me..!!

  19. Large Hob's can't rat....! They cant get down the holes and plenty don't have the heart for it. Average size, wiry Jill's were always best Vin, you've just gotta find one that loves it. I have seen small hobs do the job but Jill's were always better. Good ratting ferrets will almost always make good rabbiters but it's not the case the other way round. Like trying terriers underground, you'll get a lot of failures but when you do find one that loves the game it's great stuff and a line can be found out of that ferret! People don't use ferrets for ratting much now, smokers have re

    Beer

Nice little tipple Pedigree, it's one of the few i'll buy in the supermarket. Another favorite would be Theakstons Old Peculiar and Old Tom is a cracker too but mind how you go with it...! These can be bought in most off licences and supermarkets along with Hobgoblin etc. On a slightly different note (or pallet!) give some of the European beers a go Gnash, Duval is excellent and I do like Krek cherry beer, sounds strange i know and though I usually can't stand flavored anything, this one's got me hooked. you'll see it on the shelves with a paper wrap around. Thing is Gnash, whether it
  21. Spaniel x WorkingTerrier for me next. I want it to work close with a bit of ratting thrown in too. If it's got the minerals to grab it's quarry in cover all the better.
