I use this one http://www.amazon.com/Dremel-761-03-Cordless-Grooming-Rotary/dp/B0000C6DZ2 it is quieter than the normal dremel and the noise definitely bothers them less than the clippers do to a dog that doesn't like them.

She seems to be coping ok with them for now, there safe from Maggie's and stuff too I've put a roof on their pen till their bigger. We've got the mother in laws staffy at ours for the week and the hen taught that to keep away last night

I had a hen sat on 13 eggs and all 13 hatched, unfortunately 1 died but I think a dozen is more than enough for her to run round after. Dad Mum I've took them home for a couple of weeks until their a bit bigger to rough it at work with the rest of them free range.

Mine can clear pheasant pen sections when encouraged but I bet I could keep him in a 4ft high pen or garden wall and he wouldn't jump out. I'd fix the fence if he could aswell, fancy getting rid of a dog because it could jump out

Did you get a hen Goldy for that Cock in the second photo? he looks like a big yellow bird and though the photo does not show him that well he looks to have a good square blaze too I got him an older hen which he feeds but he just doesn't show any interest in shagging anything. He obviously misses the hen if I split them but there's no signs of treading, nesting etc. He's in with a hen canary thats built a nest now and he still shows no interest in her???

Most places I fish only allow barbless. I don't find I lose too many fish due to them and they have the added benefit of coming out in the landing net and not getting stuck in the bloody thing.

Cheers Chris, hopefully he'll look a lot better when he moults as he was wandering about with about 50 other cockerels he looks a bit tatty. Some stupid tw@ dumped a cockerel where I keep my hens too for a very brief spell
