  1. Cracking looking pups there mate, I was thinking that the dog looked like one of SG's dogs till I read the bitch was off him.
  2. Squirrels have got a bloody good bite onthem but i'd say the ferret would win if it wanted to. I watched a stoat climb a tree and take a half grown grey out of its drey and climb back down.
  3. I'd breed from her after the third season of work.

If its got a collar on it can't be done, and if its no collar and a fair distance from any residential areas then it can be shot or cage trapped for humane despatch.
  5. Don't you think this bit reads as line bred? bred for our own use from 4 generations of our own breeding. I'm pretty sure you had a litter not so long back too, own use??? Must go through a lot of dogs? http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...c=22249&hl= http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...c=62283&hl=
  6. Theres no good areas for rats anymore, that and you'd struggle to get permission round there
  7. They will still work with no bollocks. I'd let them together when I was there and warn them that if they do kick off what I will do is worse than what the other dog will, don't leave them alone together though. If they start to have a grumble at each other wade in and stop it before it gets bad. The worst i've seen for that kind of fighting were bitches.
  8. Theres only rabbits at the back of halfords lads They normally end up fecked with myxi too.
  9. Scooby retrieved his first toothed quarry last night single handed He also took 8 rabbits early this week and he had a 6 and a partridge the week before. He's doing everything I ask of him including ferreting, bushing etc. Need to fine tune his ferreting and marking but you can't fault him really when he's just turned 12 months. Good luck with Alfie
  10. Go door knocking southwards, the north is mine
  11. 1 peg with the bottom ring chucked in the hole.
  12. Ps happy birthday to Alfie on wednesday from Scooby I'm gonna take Scoob out for a birthday lamp. Cheers, Gnipper
  13. A link on here a short while ago of a bloke removing his own genitals
  14. Nice one Chid, first of many mate. Scoobies first ones were live but not anymore have to wrestle him for them
  15. I could be in with a chance on this one when i get some pics sorted. One of the hobs I bred this year out of my small hob to a normal jill is smaller than his dad and can fit through the mesh on one of my cages, i'm glad I stayed close by to find that out before my terrier did i've kept normal jills in there with no problems before.
  16. Cheers everyone Sorel I showed him what quarry was at about 7 months just so that he knew but then held him back until he was probably ten months and introduced him gently. Ten month might sound early but I knew the dog was physically ready to start having a couple of chases. His prey drive has kicked in properly now and he no longer acts like a pup, he will in the park or garden when you have a ball though . Only you will know when your dog is ready, don't overmatch him though, i keep mine away from big rabbits for the time being. Cheers, Gnipper
  17. After having a bit of a re training session on my pups retrieving on thursday after he had refused the night before I decided to take him for a few runs on the lamp. First field as soon as we stepped through the gate there was 2 rabbits sat next to each other, scooby who is just getting the hang of going down the beam ran towards them and one launched itself into the air and he nailed it as it landed, then for the will he wont he but he did and I was like a dog with two dicks as he started trotting straight towards me with it :59: He missed a few as the ground was really wet sticky clay tha
  18. Cobalt blues are burrowers and you'll hardly ever see it and if you do keep your fingers away or it'll bite them. When I sold mine I was nudging it into a container with forceps when it decided to run up them towards my hand and I couldn't get them off my thumb , been bit by a chile rose and didn't fancy a wallop of that. They are imported more than their bred in captivity from thailand and burma etc, there was an influx of them a couple of years ago where all the suppliers couldn't shift them and you could pick them up for less than 20 quid, 25 for a guaranteed female (laid egg sac after b

He's caught quite a few birds too What height has Alfie stopped at? Good luck, gnipper
  21. Alfie's looking well there mate, has he done much yet? He doesn't look like his brother does he Cheers, gnipper
  22. I wish i could drive , it must be great just being able to get in a car and go where you like, well done for passing Pull your finger out and get the test passed then or have you been banned already? Well done on passing your test lad, best thing I ever did for my dogs. Just make sure you behave yourself and don't get points in your first 2 years or you'll have to do it all again.
  23. How much is there mate? I would take some but i'm lamping in a bit so i probably won't be up early in the morning either.
  24. Shoots don't just dump them all, they go to the game dealers. I think you been reading too much anti bullshit.
