The ones in this pond are built like torpedos and go like them too, i had a big white one (not the biggest) on and it dragged me all over the place eventually getting into some reeds and losing the hook (I only use barbless)
I got this fish the other night in a drainage pit we fish
It was probably about 5lb and I know there are big mirrors, ghosties and other koi in there so would you say this was a mixture of the types or a mirror with white bits on it? There's a white koi well in its teens in the pond but he is one wary b*****d, you can see him avoiding the bait
Would you say this is pure OEG
I got him free from a local garden centre type place and bought a hen the same type to go with him who's sat on eggs in the wood somewhere I think.
archiehood has the best avatar i've seen !
lets be fair, archiehoods probably had the best ten avatars i have seen...
I think he should start a thread just to post pictures he's got as past present and potential avatars. Is the present one part of a series of photos? Who is she???? Not that i'm a perv or owt like...............
I can get a tenner a bird from the shops round here Moll. Only problem is I don't wanna sell my youngsters so I might just sell the older ones at the end of the season and start off with young birds next year for trying to mule with.
Shellducks, rats, hedgehogs, stoats, a cat and a fox which didn't bolt. I've never found any ferrets either, are you all poaching the same ground as lads that will abandon their stuff when someones coming???
Good lad
I got woken up with big hugs and kisses and a card off my little girl, can't beat it although i am looking forward to when she's old enough to make me a fry up.
i thought so mate, ive put a bit of persicara, dock and some big dandelions in i found today, theyre pecking at it all but as soon as i walk in the room they start begging and making a racket
Have you got an older steady bird you could put in as a mentor? These canary chicks of mine who's mother died were touch and go but I think they learnt off an older canary I put in with them. They were 5 weeks yesterday so I think they will be ok now and are eating normal canary seed.
Looks like you've buggered them up mate, you best give them all to me and i'll see if I can fix them
Hopefully I might have some goldie mules of my own next year i've given up on this year.
My ferrets have always picked out shot and pellets, can always tell when i'm shovelling the shavings out and they hit the shovel. Just make sure you skin and gut everything then freeze for 2 years and then disinfect it before you feed it to the ferret
Just leave the jill be and have a peep in a few days when she's settled with them. If their still born or something there's nothing you can do about it is there, and she could eat them because you've been messing with them which you won't be able to stop either.
It pulled mine too mate i'd not long put my old border down
Its a really good book too, not like some of the others where its just a book of interviews with other terriermen
The only time i'd keep dogs together is if they were pups. If you have 3/4 dogs in together they might not kick off but if/when they do its gonna be messy and probably leave you with a dead dog or two. It always surprises me how many people leave a load of dogs in one pen for long periods, they all need their own space at times. If I got stuck in a room all day with a load of people i'd probably end up chinning one or two too.
Beddies can be feckers for scrapping too apparently.
If your feeding raw then I think they say something the size of the dogs head as a rough guide to its daily intake, like someone else said if they get heavier or lighter adjust it accordingly but i'd rather give a pup too much and have it a bit chunky personally.
Most of the time i've left hobs and jills together the hobs knock the jills out of season and then leave them alone and allow the jills to drag them around etc when the mothering instincts kick in.
