  1. Do you give her any thicker bones like lamb necks/ribs?
  2. Poirot? I don't think he'd of solved many mysteries that dog looks feck all like the other
  3. Its on buy it now for £100, i'll sell you mine for £85
  4. Did you see both parents to your bitch? You must have some idea what she'll turn out like?
  5. I thought we were talking about polecats?! I have one ferret that tends to go for the eyes/face, but I'm not really sure what they get up to underground in general, depends i suppose on what bit they get a grip on and how stubborn the rabbit is. With mice they just shake them about, and I have one that decapitiates pigeons and plays with the head, while the others eat the body. Each to their own. I'll be interested to see what the hybrids do, or even if they are worth working. Bit off the point, but years ago, I went ploughing with Suffolk Punch horses, they guy that owned them lost a new born

Feck being on here after a load of pills, if they were any good you wouldn't have been able to sit still long enough to type. You should have been dancing and fighting your mates over who gets the coldest bottle of water
  7. Feck all coz they'd be out or eaten by predators within a fortnight
  8. My lurchers collar is from bellman and its lasted a lot longer than the petshop greyhound ones do. If he was bigger I'd have a strongstuff collar on him.
  9. Is the collar making sexual deviant gonna be coming? Need a terrier collar.
  10. Thats an outrageous thing to say and total bollocks........................................ .........but I did get her number
  11. Get real kid you don't really see a slaughterman lurking with his airgun camo'd up to feck waiting for a passing cow or setting his american bulldogs on one and slitting its throat while they have it pinned do you, they get taken to a licensed slaughterhouse in as humane a way is possible and at the end of the day they were specifically bred for the job unlike rabbits which will cause a problem to the neighbours in your locality WHEN they get out. If the ground was suitable to house a good population of rabbits then they would already be there. How would you prevent predators from beating you
  12. After seeing some of the posts with the game the sire to them has put away over the years i'm surprised people aren't ripping your hand off for them. Cracking pup and I hope it gets a good home for life.
  13. Gamekeepers let the birds out before they get shot though not go in and blow them to bits, I would imagine shooting or hunting with a predatory mammal an animal with no means of escape would be classed as baiting.
  14. Just a natural thing for me, rooting about the countryside and seeing stuff like rats and wanting to catch them using many different methods up until my parents let me get a dog. Nobody I knew got me into it but I met a few lads to show me the ropes afterwards. You learn more getting out there and doing it than being told by other people. One of my old mentors still reckons poleys are faster and stronger than albinos even if they're litter mates
  15. http://www.garden-festivals.com/southport-town-country-fair.php I'll walk down with the lurcher if the weathers nice, too many other animals to take my terrier I had to catch a sheep that got out of the sheepdog display ring last year while everyone stood looking at it
  16. I prefer the 10z myself, tried a couple of spun nylon years ago that I bought at the same time as some hemp to try them when they were the new thing out and they blew off the holes on the embankment. Are the spun nylon any heavier now?
  17. Get some sheet netting from here http://www.advancednetting.co.uk/shop/catalog/ and buy the top and bottom braid and make your own, you'll save yourself a fortune.
  18. Its only 2ft get it trenched but make sure you keep an eye out for it or you might end up burying it.
  19. If he gets a beddy whippet and it won't work cover he's back to square one but with 3 mouths to feed instead of two though. Personally if I just wanted a bushing dog that probably won't go to ground and isn't likely to fight with your lurcher over the quarry then your better off with a spaniel blooded dog. I can't see the attraction in beddies either with them coats on them you'd spend more time grooming it than working it.
  20. Here's a list of places that have at least 18 in stock in your area at a very reasonable price http://www.golfindevon.co.uk/
  21. It probably depends what type lab was used, a lot of people I know with working labs have tall and lean dogs who are still able to go out picking up at over 12 years of age which would be a better prospect than one of the dumpy little ones that can't walk by the age of 8.
  22. Give Diggermad a shout he's like the Derek Trotter of the ferrets and locators world
  23. Mike I don't think your use of the english language will be fully appreciated on here, there will be people checking for their dog knocking one off to see if he's ok to eat bones
  24. Where abouts in the north west? Pm me if you prefer, I can probably shift them as we're getting hounded for rabbits but can't catch our own the way the cover is in our usual spots. Pellet free preferably as the hawking lads pay top dollar as everyone knows none of them can catch their own
