  1. Proper free range eggs off my hens, loads of sausages and bacon with tomatoes and a load of buttered bread for butties and dipping. If i'm feeling posh i'll have black pudding and mushrooms too but hash browns are not for a brekkie imo. Only thing I fry is the egg too i'm not into fried stuff.
  2. Thats like complaining about a security guard catching you nicking stuff, what do you expect keepers to do when its the land they are employed to protect wave and point to the biggest population of game???
  3. I've got the opposite here, he'll jump wire netting with ease and even over pheasant pen sections but the b*****d will not jump wooden fences or five bar gates. I can normally coax him into jumping stuff and even if he has a confidence knock he'll try again but gates he sits whining or runs off to find a way round.
  4. Shock collar is a very quick and easy solution especially when the little shits know you can't stop them if your out or in bed. Mine gets fed just before I go to bed and a full stomach settles him down for the night. He only really barks at stuff like car doors being slammed etc now though and very rarely just for the sake of it. If someone looks over our fence or comes down the side of the house I don't mind if he wakes the neighbours.
  5. True there wasn't many trade stalls but then the big shows like the midland are just like massive car boots to me, if you've seen one you've seen them all.
  6. This one of mine would run straight past the rat
  7. Believe what you want you kilt lifting haggis muncher, plenty of lads on here know me and know i'm not bull shitting
  8. I've seen a normal sized hob (with 3 legs) ferret kill a half grown feral, I even put the pic up on here but it got removed because of all the bunny hugging soft b*****ds whinging. The ferret wasn't intentionally set on the cat it was in a rabbit hole miles from any houses before they start again I wouldn't fancy his chances against a full grown tom though.
  9. I'll tey mate but like I say he's only practising at the mo.
  10. Any of these youngsters turn out cocks Craig?
  11. Only a youngster so he's still warbling but he's been trained on Goldfinch 24/7 and never shuts up, trying to get some pics on but the forum doesn't seem to like letting me paste links at the moment. I'm thinking of buying a linnet cock to try and breed some of these for myself next season as the lad who bred it says that linnet mules are the easiest to breed or do I waste another season trying to breed goldie mules? I've got a greenie to try with aswell next year.
  12. I'd say hazel too but some of the varieties of cherry trees bark can look very similar.
  13. When mine get dry at the mo they are getting davies ranger chicken and rice which I pay about £18 a bag for, my mate turns his nose up at it saying he pays half that for some dr johns but his kennels look like theyve had curry sloshed all over them every day and it smells the same as it went in when it comes out
  14. Who's judging then? Is there a class for psychotic russels that haven't done owt all summer
  15. They will probably only lay for a month or so. Easier to get them from a shoot at the end of the shoot day for about a quid a brace and get yourself some warrens for laying. If you want tiny eggs then get yourself some quail as they lay like mad.
  16. you would aswell tb25 already has via facebook
  17. Only thing I wanna get is a lithium battery. Everything else is the same as last year although i've changed my underkrackers since then
  18. No equipment needed for rough shooting mate other than a gun and preferably a dog. Cartridges help too http://www.basc.org.uk/en/departments/game-and-gamekeeping/game-shooting/rough/
  19. You say you had her out at 9 weeks and she's nearly 12 months now, has she ever been out when the nettles have stopped stinging? She might have got stung as a tiny pup before the instincts kicked in and thought feck that. I would give her a few months into the season myself rather than till winter and try and get her out with other dogs, preferably ones that open up when on a scent coz that will gee her up. Have you shown her any dead rabbits etc and had her ragging or is she not interested
  20. If it aint gone home it aint worth feeding.
  21. I agree, perhaps a trip to spec savers is needed, personally i'd pay £350 for the right dog...... I'd pay it too for a dog I wanted, perhaps if some lads had paid a bit more for a dog they wouldn't be so quick to pass it on. Every time someone sticks a dog on for free they all crawl out the woodwork don't they
