  1. The fact is , most people won’t “see them in the wild “ or give a shit if they are there or not . The only people it will effect are livestock owners , and also the species that will be preyed upon . Another example of well meaning but misguided academics . They have probably had an expensive education “paid for by mum and dad “ .... failed to get to study medicine and now they are into zoology and are trying to justify their meaningless existence and secure funding for yet another lame-ass project.....yawn . I bet they will read this and think , how does he know ???
  2. The kits come with Manuela , with loads of load data . Then I would go on YouTube and watch some of the videos on there . I find it better to watch , than read .
  3. Hi David , you can order kits that have everything you need apart from the dies , cases , powder and bullets . The entry level kit which is perfectly good enough is made by Lee . That will set you back £150-£200 . But RCBS rockchucker kit is about £450 . But if you really get into reloading and want to tighten your groups then you won’t need to upgrade , because it’s seriously good kit . If you also want to improve on that then get Redding dies for your rockchucker and you will have a good kit . But I would say the Lee anniversary kit will be good enough. I got my kit second hand off eBay, I’v
  4. The ones I tend to use are pheasant distress, rabbit distress and field mouse . But then I shoot ground with young pheasants on it . Just think about what the fox is preying on and use the one you think best suits your situation. I had to get mine loaded on a card by a mate as I don’t have facility for a card in my laptop. And the first card he gave back to me was blank , but we got there in the end .
  5. I’ve got the gc 350 model , you can download different calls onto an SD card , one call I would recommend is the pheasant distress . The beauty of these type of callers is you can set them well away from your shooting position and if you think about wind / breeze you will be undetected by foxes . You can activate and control volume or change the call remotely. I’ve also got the “quiver critter “ type attachment. I’ve used this and had success with it , but I wonder weather they would have appeared anyway without it . I think these are a fantastic bit of kit for lying in wait for foxes , icote
  6. Zimbabwe went from being a fertile relatively rich farming country to a shit tip . It’s a stark reality but the black Africans are very , very different in their outlook on life . The priority in their life is singing and dancing, drinking and sex . Hard work is way down on their list of priorities. They also hold less value on life . It’s difficult to explain unless you have spent time there but they tend to live in the moment .
  7. I think they are called the Acme 504 , I used to use a brass one , I think it was called a WAM . The only calls I use now are my Icotec and my hand/mouth . The way I drive around spotting it’s very often just to stop them and turn them . The Icotec is good to set up and sit back and wait .

  9. Still waiting on the silage to be cut , might not be the last one though , have to see what the weather does. Can’t beat silage , foxes can’t resist putting in an appearance. Well done , they look in nice condition.?
  10. I’ll have to get myself along there , it’s not far from me . That Pizza sounds delicious.?
  11. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
  12. It’s Frampton country fair on Sunday . It’s a nice day out with the family , all the usual stuff , terrier and Lurcher show and racing , gundog scurry . Trade stands . It’s just off the M5 junction 13 I think .
  13. That’s always the problem with late birds Stav , they will have been the second lot through the sheds probably . No matter how good the game farmer or the guy rearing them is , you can’t be as clean and disease free as the first birds . A friend of mine got some birds a week ago from one of the largest game farms in Shropshire and they have had “problems “ , his birds started to get bulgy eye and looking worse for wear . He got some antibiotics into them and he’s now lifted the wire . Fingers crossed for him .
  14. The Tikka T3 , the very best there is , when you absolutely, positively got to kill every mother f@@king fox in the field .......accept no substitute!!!?
  15. Looks good to me BH . I’ve recently taken up loading my own . I’d always done ok with factory stuff . I haven’t saved any money yet , in fact I seem to be constantly shelling out for different gadgets and bits and pieces. But it’s the improvement in accuracy that has me hooked . I found a load that suited my 223 straight away . The .243 is still a work in progress, but already I’ve improved on factory rounds . It’s interesting and actually enjoyable . I think it’s brought out the “anorak “ in me .? . I can talk to others who load now about bullet weights , grains , fps and know what they are
  16. That’s a. Incredible group at 112 yards !!!
  17. Nice going David . Is that a pulsar N970 lrf ? How are you finding the doubler ?
  18. Oh he recognised me , but he was professional. I just hope I don’t get cancer , cos his Mrs is a senior oncologist.
  19. I had this cocker that used to constantly be chasing my pheasants around the woods at roosting time . It belonged to a couple if doctors who lived nearby. I caught it one day and chucked it in the back of the Land Rover . I thought whoever owns it will be looking for it and I will have words with them . Sure enough a phone call was received and they came to pick up their dog . I told them they were lucky it was me who was keepering now and not the old keeper , because it would be under a hedge now covered in bluebottle eggs . I read them a bit of a riot act and reminded them of their responsib
