  1. Yerr, .22 mag has more appeal to me, however, my mouse gun is shooting very well at the moment with cci tnt’s. Although I like the t bolts, I’m not convinced that I’d have another hmr if and when my cz452 goes? I just don’t know??. It’s shorter and lighter than my hornet, but that’s it’s only advantage over the hornet to me. I’ve even bought factory hornet ammo for £20/50 which is just about hmr money off the shelf.
  2. The 1417 has the two stage trigger, the 1416 and 1517 don’t. They are adjustable though, so can’t really be judged off the shelf. I have an hw60j and I agree that “off the shelf” the trigger on that gun is truly superb ?
  3. I just had a look on Livens website and they have them as well, also sk high velocity hp’s. I might call in next time and pick up a box of each. I like the way high velocity .22’s shoot out to ninety like subs shoot to sixty and the noise doesn’t seem to bother the rabbits or squirrels any more than subs usually.
  4. I love that shop, haven’t been in for a few years though. Atb with your operation Phil ?
  5. I’m with ianm on this one, having both I’d suggest you go for a hornet in either .17 or .22, they will do everything the hmr will do and more, and in most circumstances better.
  6. Sorry, made a mess of that, here’s a better picture hopefully.......
  7. Aldi are selling these from 27th Oct. 3 year warranty. Does anybody know if they’re any good? £69:99. Can be managed from your mobile.
  8. Sorry, what I meant was, is a ban effective? Or I suppose nobody really knows as some will probably just carry on and say nowt.
  9. I think it would be difficult to ban them, couldn’t they be home made if necessary? The use of them, or not, would be almost impossible to effectively police surely?
  10. That’s a good tip for any hw97 owner?
  11. Ive had no problems with their stuff either. The soap is particularly good?
  12. Do you think Daystate would have charged you for a “repair” ? ???? Seriously though, that was good advice. There’s plenty of useful knowledge on this forum, nice one fellas?
  13. That’s a good result Mark, I’ll bet you’re glad you took the other route. Enjoy your new permission?
  14. That’s a useful tip si, but why do you have to use a small women’s hair curler? Would curlers used by large women be no good for this application??
  15. Missed at 150 yards Stavross? I missed a bleddy squirrel on Monday with the mouse gun at about 20 yards, shooting through the open passenger side front window whilst sat in the drivers seat. How I missed that I don’t know, but I think I was mindful of not hitting the door mirror and it affected my shot.?
  16. Nice one SD, is that really U behind the rabbit?? ??
  17. Three day curry Gav? I do seven days, everything edible I’m thinking of the best way to curry it, can’t keep off the stuff......? enjoy your “time off”
  18. It’s a fix? if only I could read.?
  19. Good choice Ben. If I was to buy another mouse gun I’m sure it would be a t bolt. I like the varmint stainless model and if they did these with a rubber stock I’d have to have one I reckon. I really like the helix magazine on these as well. Whatever you buy, enjoy, and if you’re shooting from a vehicle I’d recommend the 16 1/2 inch barrel over the full length one?
