  1. Bleddy hell SD, you get better looking every day? New glasses??
  2. Yes SD, so long as it’s not semi auto or pump action and the barrel is 24 inches or more, regardless of overall length it remains section 2. If the barrel is less than 24 inches but not less than 12 inches it is section 1 but the overall length must still remain 24 inches or more. Nothing less than 24 inches overall or it will be section 5.
  3. Most of my stuff lives in the truck. I have a shit before I go because doc leaves make my arse itch ?
  4. Good shooting bn, how do get on with the eye relief on the pard 007 ?I’ve used one on a browning t bolt and couldn’t shoot free standing as I couldn’t get the rifle butt into my shoulder for a steady hold. Was ok off the bonnet/bipod though?
  5. That’s something to consider, after looking at the video that longshanx put on. It makes you wonder how long the cartridges can be kept and still retain the integrity to protect your barrel? Those wads turned to mosh in a few hours.
  6. Anyway, has anybody actually used any of these bleddy things, do they actually exist? If so, are they any good performance wise?
  7. Has anybody on here used these yet, or even seen any for sale? I thought I might just try a box or two, but when I’ve asked locally, and also not so locally for that matter, I’ve just been met with something of a vacant look.
  8. We know ‘U’ would never do that SD?
  9. Great night walshie, a very respectable result. Well done fellas?
  10. Must’ve been keen. Personally I wouldn’t swap my anschutz for one in a million years. Each to their own though.
  11. That’s odd. I’ve already seen one in the countryman derby. Sold now though. That was a while ago too...?
  12. Could be win win on that then SD, confined spaces and mouse shooting generally go hand in hand?
  13. It means that any loss in velocity from a shorter barrel won’t be noticeable. Get whatever length barrel suits your needs best. Handle a few and see what you feel most comfortable with. Remember that a moderator will add more length though.?
  14. If you want to shoot from a vehicle go for the 16.5 without a doubt. Two of my friends have 16.5 t bolts and both are deadly accurate. I had my hmr cut down from 22.5 inch to 15 inch, best thing I did with it. Lost 70 FPS at the muzzle, that’s not hardly worth a mention, as it handles so much better now. Just as accurate as before but much nicer to handle. No noticeable loss in performance at all.
  15. I paid £31/50 box for these Remington’s which perform the same as the hornady’s in my hw60. Hornady’s are about £23/25 box though. S&B’s £16/20 box.
  16. The .22 hornet is a nice round, I use Remington or Hornady 35 grain ballistic tip, very accurate. For me it does everything the mouse gun does and a lot more?.
  17. I like fiocchi, I’ll pick some up from moorhall stores next time I’m in Bakewell.
  18. Nice shooting SD. I’ve recently picked up a sbs fourten, chokes marked half and three quarter. Done a bit of pattern testing and the eley extralongs threw a decent pattern at 22 and 28 yards (paces)? respectively. They were #6 shot. I’m going to pick some more of these up in #7 shot, give them a try and see how they compare pattern wise. Haven’t had much time for a play with it yet and the squirrels are everywhere at the moment round here. I agree about the squirrels needing a hard hitting cartridge in fourten, some of the 2:1/2 inch loads I’ve used struggle to drop them cleanly so I’m sticki
