  1. Good result billy? Anybody seen my pet rabbit, he’s called sooty.
  2. How long until those sausages are ready????
  3. If you get permission on the park, call in for a cuppa. Mines the posh one with the newish dustbin outside??
  4. I always use ear plugs when out with a shotgun, other than a hushpower.
  5. Don’t know they come to these figures but I’ve seen plenty of dead badgers on the road lately??
  6. Be prepared, if you shoot one, you’ll probably want to buy one?.............
  7. When ordering new, direct from Theoben, the customer could specify walnut or hyedua, as I did when I bought my sirocco. They all came from Custom Stocks Sheffield. I’ve been to Custom Stocks myself, and they’re quite happy to discuss the stocks that they used to make for Theoben. I had a good lengthy chat about the stocks that they used to make, and the stocks that they make now.

  9. I was going to suggest a wtc, or a good quality fixed mag scope as they tend to be tougher than adjustable mag. I’ve got a 4x40 Apollo 4star on my sirocco. It’s been on that gun for 25 years and always holds zero.
  10. I have a rapid and an hw100, both excellent in their own way. Rapids are agricultural by today’s high end pcp standards, but that means they’re relatively easy to strip and maintain. For that reason, and that they’re so strongly engineered, I could keep my rapid working almost indefinitely. The hw100 is an absolute precision tool. Brilliantly designed, as accurate as anyone could want and does the job every time. The rapid has soul and character that you only know if you’ve owned one, whereas, the hw100 is dead. Does what it does brilliantly, but that’s it in my opinion. I bought my hw100 on a
  11. Hmm, 2.2 riffle.......... ‘I think you might be right Rez.
  12. The cs800 and Olympus stocks will be similar in many ways. They both come from custom stocks Sheffield. They did all the Theoben stocks, so similarities will be seen. I believe that different stocks could be ordered when buying direct from Theoben. I specified a hyedua sporter stock on my sirocco carbine when I ordered it direct from Theoben.
  13. Enjoy your sport,..............and your pest control Phil?
  14. Looks nice. Is that an Olympus stock?
  15. Always liked the fenman’s, can you post a picture of it ff ? I’ve got a sirocco HE carbine .20, lovely rifles?
  16. Good result SD. With that cap on, nobody can recognise U. ?
  17. They do hold their money for sure. Try some of these if you can source any SD
  18. I’ve used a plastic magpie decoy to good effect. Mounted on a garden cane and lodged on top of a hedgerow. I set one up once and a magpie was there before I got back to my hide. Shaking a box of matches adds to effect.
  19. Have you had a look at an hw60? I have one in .22 hornet and the trigger is absolutely superb ?
  20. Good shooting bn. If you save all the ferals you could box them up and send them to Chris Packham to go with his crows and magpies.
  21. Yep, nice they are. Might keep the cz a while yet, as I’ve got it shooting well again. Seems the chamber needed a good scrubbing and I was concentrating mainly on the bore. If they did the t bolt varmint stainless with a rubber stock I’d be doing a one for one quicker than you can say ‘squib rounds’ though?....
  22. You can get a Jard trigger for them. Same here though, I love the t bolt, but the trigger has little feel or movement.Feels more like a stiff switch to me. They can be adjusted though, but it’s limited. Having said that, if I was going to buy another hmr, I’m fairly sure I’d get the t bolt. I particularly like the magazine. I’ve shot two, and they were both very accurate, even with the standard trigger set up.
  23. What accuracy can you achieve with the hw44 using the bipod?
  24. Send it to Packham. Another one for his top pocket?
