  1. That’s just the right size to send to packham for his top pocket?
  2. Very nice, got any Toby jugs? .................?
  3. Nice bit of sport for you bn ? good shooting
  4. My Anschutz 1417 is 14 inch and it’s a very accurate rifle. It will put decent target ammo into one ragged hole at 75 yards easily. Personally, I wouldn’t want another long barrelled rimfire after using the shorter ones for some years now. I’ve got my .17hmr back on track again now as well. It’s 15 inch and shooting CCI TNT’s into less than an inch at 100 yards, which is as good as it was with the 22:1/2 inch original barrel. As for .22’s, the shorter the better for me. If I was having one cut, I’d go 12:1/2 inches for a truck gun. Obviously, it depends on what you get on with, and what it’s i
  5. Nice one stavross. Maybe it would be worthwhile getting a slot opened up for FAC air if you get the paddocks to shoot as well?
  6. I don’t think Gove is going to risk pissing off all the country’s farmers, pest controllers, gamekeepers including all the toffs who employ them, in favour of a relative handful of tree huggers, who he knows will probably be wasting their votes on the Green Party, regardless of what he does or doesn’t do. He knows which side his bread is buttered, he’s not that stupid.
  7. Have you considered a sxs? Nicer for walked up imo. But then, I’m no fan of o/u anyway. Had a few, never kept any of them for long. Having said that, Winchester 101’s are worth a look.
  8. This from shooting times http://www.shootinguk.co.uk/guns/ammunition/best-pest-control-cartridge-38560#CuQxk7VKJIhG0ZMe.03
  9. I’ve got an early H.E sirocco carbine in .20 calibre, bought new from Theoben early nineties I think. It’s got a quick firing cycle, but not at all snappy. Hardly a hint of recoil and just as accurate as my hw100. The one in the pictures is an evo. The earlier rammers with the built in scope mounts were the nicest in my opinion. I wouldn’t part with mine. Lovely rifles built for quality and longevity. ?
  10. £175:37 for a nice ‘un, that’s my rough estimate ?
  11. Yes, but yours is just a toddy little .177 Mark. Whereas ferreter’s got a proper big mesters .22 version, so’t pellets it likes might be different????
  12. My wife’s always on about wild pork. I thought it was some sort of fetish?
  13. True, if you head shoot them, which I try to do anyway, it’s not a problem. Wherever you hit them with solids, they’ll probably pass through. I’ve never found a solid .22 rimfire bullet in a rabbit anyway. I’ll happily shoot rabbits with .22 solids, always did years ago.
  14. You can register with gp online services, access your medical records that way. You should be able to then print them off and send them in with your application forms. Otherwise, you can request a copy from your doctor, and under normal circumstances they can’t refuse, but there is a charge. It was £50 maximum, but might have changed.
  15. I haven’t seen any sk hollowpoints for a couple of years, yours must have been old stock? The sk standard plus are probably even more accurate, still available, but solid of course.
  16. Good shooting SD, nice to see that 45 fella ?
  17. Thanks for that Jonjon. I’ve considered getting a tx200 in .22 as I would expect.22 to be nicer to shoot, most for sale seem to be .177 though. That’s very much food for thought. ?
  18. I’d be interested to know if anyone on here has shot tx200 and/or pro sport in both .177 and .22? If so, how do they compare? Are they smoother in .22 or not much different? Thanks?
