  1. hoping to see something special tonight - fantastic view of the Persid meteor shower in Cheshire, before we moved down here. Cloud cover about6/10th's but maybe it will clear a bit - stunning harvest (full) moon for the last 3 nights as yellow as a sun itself.
  2. It doesnt help anyone by raising the old 'for and against arguments'. People have died in the most terrifying circumstances - we had it in Manchester - it doesnt have to be a gunman it could have been a bomb. there is no explanation. The killer was a grandfather. He had children of his own, every reason to care about life in general apparently. What he has done to the 58, the 500 and his own children and their children is beyond imagining and beyond redemption. He was not normal ,he was criminally insane. Guns were a means, as might have been a bomb - the victims are, however, still the vi

    Take A Knee

'Take a knee' is a phrase I will never recognise. Bend the knee implies fealty or loyalty to a lord. Stupid thing to do. Best to wear an armband for those murdered - that is acceptable and most relevant I feel.
  4. I'm also going to have to renew soon. I have a 16 year old Kawasaki quad. Next year I will have to kill it to get a new one - it simply refuses to die.
  5. I've had the same generators but just going back to Dublin and going cheap. Tarmac your drive - cut-back bitumen that never 'goes -off'. I have no truck with thieves, Irish or not. The problems cause by travellers deserves a very robust response IMHO.
  6. You should PM Elmer Fudd on The stalking directory - deer and boar near Monmouth. Let me know how you get on.

    Rip Ferdinand

38 and desperate - sad and typical of modern hype - all based on a need for cash, hope he doesnt suffer a serious injury.
  8. I share concern that this 'practice' is rarely reported in the media. The term 'Honour' should be removed, its murder of a defenceless woman for control of the rights of males. The savagery is barbaric and akin to family terrorism. We have been through the abuse of teenage girls up north for maybe 15 years by 'ethnic groups'. Anything which unsettles the apparent liberal direction of the media seems to be suppressed by quite a few 'organs' of government be it local or national. I find myself trusting the BBC not at all and others never .The term 'Fake News' is relevant as is 'Acceptable' ne
  9. Anyone out there who makes these and would be willing to sell one to me ? Would need to be six feet in length - its for the lad he's got some Wiltshire horn sheep but a dog is not possible with the breed.
  10. Some really unusual logic here and truths which are simply opinions. I particularly like the posts confirming mass autism and the 'I will still do what I want', kind of anarchic 'it really doesnt matter does it' view. I wont arrogantly assume you want to know what I will be voting or justify it with specious argument, I'd be grateful if some others didnt so fundamentally insult others intelligence with their concocted codswallop. You pays your money and makes your choice.
  11. Out of simple respect we should remember them all and the hell they went through. 9000 dead in the first 24 hours. It is impossible to imagine their individual fears. The only stories I heard from family were the humorous ones. The one I didnt hear was about a best friend who trod on an anti-tank mine and dads feelings of removing pieces of him from his uniform. None of them survived as they had been. We must never let such sacrifice go unremembered.

    Flat Earth

Francie - god (or the big bang) made the earth an oblate spheroid - dont end up being one yourself !!! Oblate spheroid - pear shape.
  13. Any wild or released animal or bird belongs to no man,no matter how much land they own and the amount of folk they pay to cater for their needs. The facts are that 5% of the population own over 90% of our Isles because of the side they took around 1066.Its land that was earnt through theft and is brushed aside as history now and certain folk are still hell bent on regulating ancient statutes that were put in place to protect the b*****d landowner and punish the serf. The serf deserves the same access to our Land and the fauna it holds more than the b*****d landowner that hides behind ancient sta
  14. I favour providing massive support for Teresa May so that she has a solid negotiating position. Junkers has suggested the EU will now us eanother language than English - even Cameron recognised him for the drunken fraud he is. If May doesnt deliver and spectacularly then she must go - even though there is no-one (as yet) to replace her from any party. Corbyn is a communist (even though there are no others left) Farron s a schoolboy who hasn't grown up and never will. May therefore seems the best, even only option - for now.

    James Comey

Its about the link to Russia during the election. Tomey was investigating it - Trump says he "wasnt doing a good job" and fired him - others think he got too close to the truth about Russian interference - remember Clintons investigation by the FBI days before the vote? Either way we wont get reliable facts but my moneys on Trump having backing from the Soviets, possibly for personal gain/compromising stuff. Still thats complete speculation.
  16. The wish is father to the thought. Unconventional 'logic' may be a sign of parallel evolution. Im not that bright kes can you dumb it down a bit lol. You sell yourself short. The first sentence suggests that if you wish something so, then you grasp things which almost support your view of things and deny those which dont. The parallel universe theory comes from Heisenbergs uncertainty principle, relating to Quantum theory where it has been proposed ( as a result of the phased communicative state of quantum) that many parallel worlds exist and differ only slightly between wor

    Weed ;)

The younger you are the more serious the psychological effects are. The stronger the drug the more pronounced are the symptoms - I believe. I have never taken any illegal drugs just legal ones. If you play with fire you will get burnt.
  19. To me it shows what utter contempt a politician has for the voting public if they cant be bothered to ensure they are fully briefed before an interview on a specific topic. The woman is a joke and completely unsuitable to be involved in any part of UK politics. She should resign but wont - trading on ethnicity and rubbishing other politicians (who know what they are talking about) is the reason she got to be an MP. Just simply incompetent and not a little stupid - irrespective of colour, race etc. Shadow Home Secretary for goodness sake - she doesn't rate a PA's job yet absorbs maybe 100K
  20. Could you tell me about these known facts, that creationist dispute? Age of rocks, fossils, continental drift, the development of species and genera plotted against time, dating of hominid bones from africa linked to the age of rocks and sedimentary deposition. Let us not get into quantum mechanics. That do you ?
  21. All politicians are the same. Blair is a fine example of a near communist when young to being far right of Teresa May now. The phrase 'straight as a die' could not be applied to him. He even tried the help of the big chap by becoming catholic. The depths to which he will sink to be powerful and revered have yet to be plumbed, kissing George Bushe's (the chimp's) a*** was not necessarily the lowest he sank to. Sadly he doesn't understand that those he has once duped will not fall for it again, unless they are those who vote for Corbyn.
  22. Creationists (believers in God US style) dispute known facts concerning the formation of the earth and fossils suggesting it all took just 7 days. Natural selection has the undoubted benefit of conforming with discovered facts. Whatever anyone needs God for its not that he created the world in 7 days. Perhaps we all need a big brother sometimes ?
  23. It is within the bounds of possibility that anyone would act as he did in the circumstances which he faced. I dont blame him - he will be a man with a conscience in my view. I wish him and the wife he has hardly lived with, the best for the rest of their lives. He defends us as others have and done worse, in worse circumstances. Whatever his theoretical guilt, I would love to see the leftie lovies in the same circumstances. Thank you marine. Clear your mind and move on; film, kids, book life. Good stuff..

    Acid Attacks

Horrific Crime and should merit an horrific punishment - anyone using acid should be subject to the same punishment and a life affected by the damage and pain of the corrosive fluid. Literally incredible to do or contemplate such a thing. Do not make it seem 'vogue' the effects produce a living hell. Punishment must fit the crime in this, of all situations.
  25. There are ways and there are ways. Packham appears to have little control over his actions, driven by inner prejudice and anger. Conservation is everyones responsibility not just a self-centred, populist, egotist with a lisp. Packham brings nothing new to conservation - he didnt set up Africa's national parks, he's not funding anti poaching in Africa, Never heard him mention whales, tuna etc, etc etc, He is simply focused on damaging responsible shooting. He would and has argued that rats need protection. So lets get off Packham being a saint - he's not, in fact the world of animal protect
