  1. There are certain things which define particular poachers. Some use the full moon or the moon approaching it, Each has a particular (familiar) route into a shoot and this will be related to location of pens and later knowledge of where most birds roost. Each will have their own way to poach, be it net air rifle/ other methods. Anyone using a shotgun or rifle - do not get personally involved - look for reg no's and call armed police. It would help to deploy the odd trail cam (well camouflaged) and, most importantly do a few rounds at night ask a few friends and meet after to share info..
  2. My last dog was 29 inches at the shoulder and weighed 50 kgs. He wasn't that big but his dad was. His dad I would guess at 32" and maybe 60 kgs. His dad was a superb dog and I would always choose 30+ inches and 50 + kg. His dad used to sit on a mound in a field as though on a throne and was really impressive..
  3. To get back on topic my choice everytime would be an 'old size'; Rhodesian Ridgeback (or lion dog). mine have been exceptional family dogs and v protective of the children. The Americans, as with everything else, try to breed a bigger dog, I'd prefer an 'original dog '.
  4. Headline today (Daily Mail so take it with a bucket of sal)t, the Police have 'lost control; so - how long to the revolution. I certainly wouldnt like to be an estate agent !
  5. Trump as a person is something most of us would ignore - with his unusual habits, strange morals or lack of, and his perverse narcissistic self-justification. However, he was voted for by the majority of Americans if one allows for a bit of jiggery pokery. He is therefore, for now the head of one of the wprlds super powers (alright he is under control of some normal people). As with so many things in life his term will come to an end and he will be left to abuse the American tax laws as he sees fit. He will forever believe everyone loved him. His wife smiled recently whilst playing
  6. I have never liked the abuse of language - the players and the team are mediocre or they would have won. As for heroes, spitfire pilots aged 19/20/21 come to mind but there are no heroes in football its just self interest and desire for a big payday. Pathetic nonsense.
  7. Almost certainly a gunsafe with separate ammo compartment required but ask your local police firearms officer. If you havent been naughty in the past you seem to have the perfect 'Good Reason' to own a firearm. I have 4 in a 10 gun safe, .17 hornet to .308 for stalking. - Good luck !
  8. No its not required legally but owners may differ and diaries are not forbidden but always private to the person who wrote them.
  9. Badgers are too protected - they should be back on the general licence. With regard to them being out in daylight, I have seen them crossing fields where I used to live in very early evening (5 pm). The lad who had a running 'bug' used to run the edges of our (then) 2 acre field - twice he ran into a line of badgers at 7.00pm - dad mum and 2 cubs on their way back to their sett in the field - he had to move aside, they refused to budge.
  10. Fine display; interesting that a few yanks took part f15/16? Apart from the Boing v-22 Ospreys - take off vertically and rotate engines to fly horizontally at 500 kph
  11. Can you tell me how much and a bit of its history? Thanks
  12. You have a special talent - excellent where can I buy one ?
  13. I had a new one - took it to Ireland cant beat them off road and as you know, Pikeys love them. Not cheap to run but v reliable. I would personally choose something smaller these days with a smaller engine but if you have a good one, it will last well.
  14. Peas are a useful crop. Apart from tasting superb, (mine never get boiled), they fix nitrogen in the soil and used in rotation provide food for next years crop as well as excellent compost material - dont forget the compost heap - any chance of a cheap greenhouse - lots of people let them go for nowt if you disassemble (usually when they first have kids), try the local paper ?
  15. I have an old G wagon which I am about to sell - this new Jimny looks very like it except for the bonnet mounted indicator side lights - it will become a classic if, as others have said, Suzuki have made it a bit bigger and dealt with the models current problems. A bit like the evolution of the G wagon. It looks good.
  16. Saw an interview with Johnny Johnson a bomb-aimer in the raid. Asked if he was a 'hero' he was emphatic that he was not he was just one of the lucky ones. ! "we were just doing a job". Given todays culture of celebrity and self -proclamation of 'amazing - epic-stunning-incredible', how refreshing to hear someone play down his contribution. I was impressed, again, by these men - 52 of whom did not return from this raid.
  17. Are we sure it wasnt just for 'good television' ?
  18. She should accept your notice from when received by the company, not personally. However, leaving on good terms is priceless so I would tell your new employer and ask if he would vary it by two days so you can have a break - if he says 'rather not' then forget the 2 days and ask for holiday pay instead. Its always the employee never the boss - but she did know she just didnt give you her proper attention - therefore holiday pay.
  19. Theft is justified by their 'religeon' which relates a 'god given' right to steal. The transit he was driving when involved was found burnt out -didnt say whether it was stolen or not or insured or taxed. This group should be persecuted until they change, all the powers of the state thrown at them mercilessly - do we need people like this in our society - no. As for their right to grieve - fine, do it at home like everyone else. Placing flowers outside the victims home is incitement to violence and all those placing flowers should have been locked up. The police who asked for the family's righ
  20. If they are honest and film all their contacts with the supposed paedophiles then why not. The danger is they approach someone who isnt a paedophile but the Police record on that is abysmal - take Cliff Richards case with TV filming the search. If the police dont perform others should, especially those who have established success. Has anyone heard about Cheltenham child abuse - I think it was Cheltenham to add to all the other child abuse towns where the Police have failed to enforce the law to protect the most vulnerable. The Police havent established the right to be the exclusive crime
  21. Interesting to note the relatives of the dead no-mark have put up a shrine to him opposite the intended victims house and relatives of the dead man have threatened to kill him. The Council should clear the shite memorial and the police should advise all of his relatives they risk a long spell inside if they hear of threats and are unable to determine which member of the family made them. This really is the lunatics running the asylum. Time to fight back. These people cannot be of Roma stock because they have ethics and conscience.

Apparently an 'accomplice' ran off - 2 nutters then or maybe a terrorist attack ?
  23. Those figures should be 1,429,000 and 330,000, nationally.
  24. I was OK with house roof heights then I went to help some young lads trapped by the rising tide and was dragged up a 200 ft cliff by firemen in a bosun's chair (2 straps). The rope stretched alarmingly and I had a feeling that if I let go I. would fall. Slowly, so very slowly, my grip loosened but I didnt fall - obviously. Since then I cant climb step ladders without shaking. Strange how some experiences change you.
  25. Not quite the way I would have phrased it but the sentiment I fully subscribe too. "he must of been scared shitless about time this country starting putting decent honest folk before theses thieving lying cnuts "
