A true talent and a likeable, quiet family man. I hope the two mentioned above have cause to reflect on their abuse of his family, it reportedly hurt him badly.

My theory is that Hamilton was going to leave for the rest of the season when Rosberg ran him on to the grass and wiped them both out. Mercedes refused to censure Rosberg but I would suggest they agreed he could continue and win this year but not go beyond, as he had become Schumakerish - MS did not add glory when he returned, showing more of his 'win at any price' attitude rather than real talent. As for the replacement, Jenson Button would be a solid performer and is free. Maclaren need Alonso to push progress and Red Bull will not let their golden boy go I suggest - rumour has it that Nax

Its obvious that Jeremy Corbyn is being kept afloat by those MP's and party workers who would never have any credibility or power otherwise. Its all just a game to them Power, Money and 'influence'. Labour supporters 'Grass roots' must see an evangelical figure, a Joe Stalin. I see a pile of muddled ****. Teresa May needs to call an election and ram the result down his unyielding throat. (Maybe Diane Abbots too and all the rest..........)

I have an Lr 870 on a .17 hornet. I mount a Nightmaster Ir on it and zero the combination at 150. The image quality on the built -in IR up to IR ++ is not the best and pixilated but usable. With the Nightmaster and the contrast dialled down, the image is super quality and completely shootable. At 300 metres everything is as clear as a bell and the LR 870 is no restriction on range, just accuracy off sticks when shooting foxes. Its a weird experience as you lose night vision in the 'scope' eye. Here it is very dark as there are few people and a good IR source is critical. I can see and identif

I can just see the Scottish First Minister (fish face) accepting that principle on a referendum for Scottish Independence - although she has almost done the same, calling for another one at this time. She is not a friend of the UK - does she have any friends - clearly not her cowed husband at the interview this morning.

AGM recently held in Chester. Philip Glenser unanimously re-elected as Chaitman and others, also unanimously. No mention of the problems or the fall-out. Things will be confidential until its all sorted vis a vis employment law and peoples rights. Best chap to be at the helm right now methinks.

You will have to have 2 sets of deeds altered and the new ones registered with the land registry, together with a joint agreement extinguishing the right of way across the landowners land and the beneficiary of the right of way agreeing. Very good idea to do it but suggest about £250 is likely price. I have just separated 2 bits of land and that cost £150. Worth it for £500 as the value of your property will increase. Get a couple of quotes first.

Available Guns Wanted For Growing Syndicate Shoot
KES2 replied to Johnny Jones's topic in Game Shooting
Hi, How far are you from Monmouth ? Let me know will you as I have nowhere for game shooting yet this season - an idea of cost would be helpful. Cheers p.s. had some shoot management/keepering not to mention beating experience. -
Continuing silence at BASC, no-one heard anymore ?

There was just one man who walked about with an AK 47. In Hungerford. White not black. The rest, as they say is history, along with the ability to own a 'self-loading' military -type rifle. Some of the killings of black men in the US are truly horrific and display a stereotypical approach to 'colour' and 'law enforcement'. It is also the 'american way' to get a gun to defend yourself, unlike UK.

Strangely, I also buried my wonderful ridgeback, who died aged 14, in the orchard on his bed with his favourite rubber bone - someone will wonder about that in years to come. Seemed the right thing to do.

C Graffius has issued a statement that he is NOT pursuing an anti lead agenda. The fight to protect shooting is always ever present, more so in the halls of Westminster. BASC is the only org with the clout to do this. Let's see the anti BASC bashers provide an org that could compete with them. There isn't one! Has CG suggested he is acting CE ? I wouldnt know what his agenda was but if he has one, its either because he's CE or the CE has given him one if he isnt. Nobody is certain this stage about anything - surely ? I am hoping news will follow Council. Whatever comes out will be impo

A post from another source - I cannot vouch for this personally so please take this with a health warning. I found this on an Ex BASC staff member,s facebook page. thought it might help. FYI Chairman of council resigned and resign from council Scottish representative resign from council Welsh representative resigned from council. Interim chief executive Christopher Graffius Chief Executive suspended Director of operations suspended then resigned Director Wales and shooting standards suspended HR department suspended Allegations of bullying made against 5 council members by the above mem

If senior staff are involved as well as 3 Council Members, as other posters seem to suggest, then BASC must watch its P's and Q's re employment law. Nothing is proved until its proved through proper process and you can bet if its senior staff, they know the implications for the employer. If BASC dont do this correctly, as with any other employer and senior staff, there could be serious financial consequences for the organisation and its members. What is perhaps more worrying is that both sides might eventually be seeking a no - fault exit from all this and that will cost money, a lot of m

Sad state of affairs it would seem. The statement says there is a Council meeting on the 18th at which a new Chairman will be elected, and some more disclosures one presumes? I wonder how much of this current reticence is to protect shooting and how much to protect BASC against the inevitable backlash ? Still, if you work for BASC I am sure you would see it as the same thing maybe? All credit to them, they managed the JS catastrophe by actually increasing membership. Who would have thought that?
-
Any more details yet ? BASC Council in about a week unless they cancel it and it will be hard for them to keep the lid on the 'changes' . Sometime, someone has to confirm what I suspect many already know and are keeping quiet about for the sake of all those who shoot. We should be clear about what corruption, as per the title, means; Corruption is a form of dishonest or unethical conduct by a person entrusted with a position of authority, often to acquire personal benefit.

Preventing Poaching In The Uk
KES2 replied to CH-SUK's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
trespass is only a civil matter, if your on a public road or footpath it's not even trespass Trespass with a firearm or "in pursuit of game" is not civil law its criminal - I suggest you look it up. Poaching in the terms mentioned in this thread, even with a catapult puts you at risk. I dont think its romantic to advocate violence in any form and trying to excuse trespass as a civil offence when one goes armed in pursuit of game is silly but then a lot of this thread is. -

Preventing Poaching In The Uk
KES2 replied to CH-SUK's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
I find this thread literally incredible. Advocation of theft and general lawlessness, threats to individuals by trade if not name, cowardly (numbers superiority) attacks recommended on individuals. Maybe its just a lot of bravado, I would hope so, since otherwise it is actionable. I suggest any moderators might want to issue a few warnings as clearly some of this thread is abusive and illegal. Land is owned, wildlife is not, if, to get to wildlife you have to enter property owned by another its illegla and these rantings are as bad as the man traps that used to be employed to catch poachers -
Preventing Poaching In The Uk
KES2 replied to CH-SUK's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
If I wished to protect game, I would hope for a drone with IR camera and a pre-programmed (but variable) route around my land. A method of warning, as with car thefts, calls to mobiles would be useful so the poachers could be caught in the act. Failing that - I would like to catch them myself. -

KES2 replied to CH-SUK's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
Its clear that many are unlikely to own any land because if they did, then I suggest they would view poaching in a different light. Advocating theft during trespass is a bit daft really, especially with a firearm. Walk where you will without damage and quietly but whats on his land is his, not yours. One for the pot is fine but more is criminal and would lose you your right to a gun - and rightly so. -
Shotgun Certificates And Mental Health
KES2 replied to Dobbiesferrets's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I havent had experience of either situation but feel that a positive hobby would help anyone in your or your partners situation. You can 'rent' a shotgun at many clay venues and, to be sure if you reapply, you might have a shotgunning friend who would allow you to keep your cabinet at his house. Alternatively you could share a gun with a friend and leave it in his cabinet - your FEO will just want to know where it is and would confirm your friends storage is acceptable or know it is if he currently has a cert. Every skill your partner learns will help her confidence and self belief. Even a wa -
Morning all, What with moving etc I havent managed to join a new shoot for this season so I am looking for a few less expensive days with a DIY syndicate or small boundary/driven days. Pheasant/Partridge/Duck or Inland goose flighting would be most welcome. Happy to beat if walk one stand one. Any day would be convenient, weekdays even preferable. Happy to travel reasonable distances. Thanks in advance.

Whilst I wouldnt advocate this normally, I would phone the police when you go, advising them of your mobile and where you will be - get an incident no. If anyone gets uppity about you shooting and rings the police you can confirm its ok rather than them send someone out - also, check precautions you are planning with them and add any they request. Doing this will place you on their good side for the future. Good shooting
