Its a shame anyone has to die but in these circumstances he took a risk and lost - shame, whatever his 'grieving' relatives say, the burglar was a parasitic nobody with previous; his whole family are parasitic. it was just a matter of time for him, as it will be for the rest of his parasitic family. My best wishes go to the 78 year old -lets hope he can move on without any problems. This death was not of his choosing.

He has now been charged - apparently the burglar had a screwdriver, according to the accused. If his story is confirmed he should get a medal and be discharged with a profuse apology. His type we need - burglars are worthless.

Sentencing guidelines seem to be based on current prison population. Those guilty of multiple rapes over a long period, as here, should be released when they are 80, after a review at 70, this would then act as a deterrent. Murderers should be released the day after tomorrow. Those guilty in the Bradford/Telford/Rotheram paedophile cases should also never be released. Nothing which can be done to them, is as bad as the agony they have put many, many vulnerable young girls through, its an old phrase but the punishment should fit the crime they committed.

I would agree with your conclusion - I would just put it slightly differently. Anyone who admires Hitler is a flawed individual who's opinion can carry no weight, no interest to anyone hearing it, knowing what is now known. Hitlers only value is in not making the same mistake twice.

So good to see that we have learned the lessons of the past - paid for by so many others who's lives were cut short. Anyone who dies at the hands of terrorists should be remembered, including state acts of terrorism. However, their lives would have been wasted if we persist in raking over the arguments which led to their deaths. We need to focus on the threats to everyone in the future and let the faults and deaths of the past be judged by whoever you believe will meet out justice in the end, in the next world. How could the police not know about this ? they have 'snouts' for car theft/robbery etc Are we seiously saying the police have had no idea since the 1980's ? There must have been a mass cover-up by 'interested' parties to keep this soooo quiet - one wonders who is an 'interested' party. Maybe the child abuse enquiry will get to the bottom of it - maybe.

The worst individual rang the ambulance service 3000 times in a year. One wonders whether this kind of number increases the funding for the service since they refused to condemn this individual. I'd be tempted to put his phone somewhere where dialling would be impossible but he could still carry it round with him.

I remember from school chemistry lessons that in WW2 buses were modified by adding a trailer which produced two gases - the buses ran on the gas - one was called 'producer gas' and the second was the result of adding something to the process - it also powered the bus. OK it was 50-60 years ago look it up !

I think its an unholy combination of 'wont rot down' and 'no money in farming'. However there were always seed drills/rakes rusting in piles of nettles but to me they didnt look like the rubbish we see today. It may also be that most farmers are old now and dont do work that doesnt either make money or life easier. I also remember many farmers filling in pits by using them as tips, you didnt see it but the habit put paid to newts frogs and didnt help eels etc - I would love to have all those old ponds back and I have lost many a rabbit in a pit filled with rusty old cars/machinery/barbed

My parents let me know they would love to see my children but they were not going to be substitute parents. So the worry was confined to parents only. My daughter was and still is, the joy of my life and I had to work hard to let her out of my sight . We had a pact that she could call me anytime anywhere and I would go and collect her and because I could. She had her freedom to be with friends and go out at 14. Train journeys to local towns to shop - I would drop her off and collect her - always early, always worried. Come 17 she was more wordly wise than I would have hope

Personal leasing isnt the ultimate car scheme - why would it? As said above the people who sell/lease cars are in it to make a profit. no lease I know of is cheaper than buying especially if you have a mileage linked lease or a balloon. That said it may suit some people but be sure - its not cheap.If it works for you its for other reasons than 'the cheapest method available'. Ideal for a business as said.

I think it would be foolish to assume this does not go on in e.g. local Councils, the fire service, maybe BASC even - people do what people do but all can be caught with a decent bit of administrative supervision. As said above porn isn't the problem, its looking for it on company time and maybe looking at wierd stuff at all.

Facenook is not what I would call 'beneficial', I have avoided it and will continue to do so. Twitter ect, facebook seemingly require a degree of conformity which is not on my list of 'to do's'.

It seems from the original article that excepting beetles wasps and some butterflies, most extinctions occurred BC. Those surely are largely irrelevant being perhaps down to climate shift and early man/mega landscape change through natural process (e.g loss of ;Doggerland'). Its too convenient an argument for those ranged against shooting to quote many millenia of natural extinctions. If anything it is perhaps a lesson for those parts of the world where change is still possible to conserve a rich natural flora and fauna.

I dont think anyone knows what triggers cancer but I agree there are those more susceptible than others (genetically predisposed) it could be a virus which triggers cancer once a set of certain circumstances are met but its natural for people to worry. We seem to be at the general public stage in diagnosis much like the plague and leprosy - nobody really knew what caused them. I find it helpful to suggest you much prefer the old style Christmas - oranges and nuts as presents watching Muppet CC etc. Everyone ignores me and does their own thing I collect the turkey, the veg and watch Muppet CC unless drinking a few whisky tasters - oh yes forgot the Tree is my responsibility finding it and putting it up - decoration by 'others'.

No-one in the US has this guy dead to rights yet but Mueller will get there. There was collusion, for collusion there had to be a benefit to those US personnel colluding on behalf of The Big Fart, apart from power it must be the ability to change something huge to benefit himself - building on wilderness, benefiting from a massive reduction in corporation tax or something yet to come ?
