as far as i can make out, in order to seize dogs rspca need a warrant from a judge or magistrate. they woiuld have to present him with some evidence that the seizure was central to the investigation of a crime, so god only knows what bullshit they have told the judge, and god only knows what kind of half witted judge was so ignorant that they didnt even do a little bit of research before signing the warrant. go after the judge as well dymented!!!

how did you sort it mate?
  6. thinking about some of the lurcher shows i went to in the 80s, there were a couple of roped off rings, a bit of a screen to piss behind, a beer tent and a burger van. maybe a little tent for judges, stewards etc. anything else was a bonus. so, is there a danger of over complicating things? the simpler it is, the less organising it will take and the less legal crap such as licences etc will be required. i for one would be happy with a very basic show, and if it is a success it can be allowed to grow under its own steam (if thats not a ridiculously mixed metaphor!) and only about 60 miles f

this is NOT me pissing and moaning, BUT>>> i was brought up with nothing, literally nothing, but my parents ALWAYS brought us up to have manners, respect, courtesy to EVERYBODY. i have a young family and we are in the same boat, pretty skint most of the time, flat broke the rest of the time (!). i work 40+ hours per week, barely pay the mortgage on my tiny house, but we try to be decent people and expect the kids to be the same. thats not a problem, we manage. but what REALLY pisses me off is the fact that i know several families of which neither parent has ever had a job, who ar

who owns the land, and are they the occupier or is the cricket pitch rented? as long as the wildlife people dont own or lease it i dont think its any of their business. as far as i'm aware, your arrangement would be with the occupier in the first instance, so the club should be able to authorise your permission without needing to check with any of those other busybodies. incidentally, i have permission from a local council on quite a few places, and they are not the slightest bit interested in how i dispatch rabbits, they just want to know how many i get from each site at the end of the season
  10. any profits to go into a fighting fund for anybody harassed by rspca...........
  11. well, there is one born every minute................ Wait a minute...........do you mean........? ignore me remy i'm just being a c##t. i have a brother lives in barcelona, i dont often talk to him nowadays, ever since he told me to walk up to some spaniards and say to them "mi cargo en todos sus muertos cunio!" nearly got me head kicked in...... Mushroom ain't your brother is he?.. Lol f***ing hope not!!
  12. personally i dont let my pups chase anything, or even get amongst a bit of scent, until their recall is spot on, and then i gradually expose them to quarry. once a dog learns just how thrilling it is to hunt stuff, and thousands of years of selective breeding is switched on, it becomes very very hard to compete against this to get good recall, so for me the best option is to completely brainwash them before they even develop any real hunting drive. even my grown dogs i will call them back when we are out, give them a pat then send them off again, just to always keep it in their heads

  16. socks, how hard is it to set a toe like that/ is it just a case of popping it back, or do you really need to know what youre doing before you start messing with that stuff/ i've been lucky, in all my years with dogs i've never had a toe dislocation
  17. thanks chaps. it wont be a dog wagon, but used for his job, fencing. so he was wondering if it is a bit underpowered having a 2 litre instead of the 2 1/2 litre most of the japs have?
  18. mine are penned during the day (just a few minutes out at lunchtime to empty themselves) from 7AM till 6PM. get an hour or so walking before and after, and in the house at night. as long as the dog is used to being on its own it shouldnt be a problem
  19. seen a couple of collies which were very good round the warrens, bushing, hunting up, ratting etc. seen one half decent on the lamp, although i wouldnt say it was a patch on a half cross. my old mum had one on her smallholding years ago which would kill the odd fox when out with the running dogs and they put it into cover. collies can be great fun and handy tools. good luck, let us know how you get on.
  20. i had a bloke get out of his car and come running up to me at the lights once. as it happened i was on the way home from B&Q with a hatchet i had just bought, so i thought "act the psyco" so i jumped out, waved the axe above my head and just screamed. you never saw someone go so quickly into reverse, and such a fast u-turn!!
  21. vw amarok (pick up) anyone got one? know much about them? a mate is thinking of buying one, but i have never even seen one!
  22. i have never had to use a shock collar, i like to get my dogs right before they are even old enough to think about causing problems, but i have seen them used by other folks. two very skilled trainers i watched got very good results in a very short time, and two clowns i sawfecked their dogs up severely in a very short time! there are many things to consider, and probably the most important is split-second timing. in my opinion, if you can find an alternative then try that first, and if you are at your wits end then find a skilled, experienced trainer to talk you throught the process or better
  23. wonder if any of the nuns who worked there are still alive - they might have a bit of explaining to do........................
  24. But saying that, the populations in general are all increasing and spreading in most areas of the UK, if you look back at the history of deer, it was much worse, roe were wiped from the whole of England and even with re-introductions in the far south of England they are still absent from fair chunks of the south, they are only recent arivals in Kent....I bet the folk in those areas are sick of fallow and long for swift footed roe!! 100% right. here in bedfordshire we are crawling with muntjac, CWD and fallow, but in the 18 years i have lived in the county i have only ever seen two you
