some food for thought there gents, thank you.

as morton says, hares got exercised wherever they lived. especially in the last 30 or so years when everyone has car. i used to know quite a few men lived in london estates, could be up cambridge way for a run in an hour or so up the m11.

just a thought, and i'm no expert, but it seems to me that the most sinister fact of the whole affair is that these are gangs of associates/friends doing these sick acts. now if any friend of mine suggested sharing a young girl i would seriously damage him. and i think most people feel the same way. so how do these gangs develop? i know there are sometimes reports of white gangs, and the question holds true for them, but these pakistani gangs seem to be failry commonplace and perhaps it is cultural in some way to pakistani men, not muslim men? because i havent heard of gangs of indonesian/afri

thanks tuzo, i never heard of them before.

certainly i have dug/chopped out roots over a foot deep, so maybe a otavator wont be deep enough (i've never used one before). what if i rotavated, then turfed over the the top, then kept cutting the grass back hard so the new bamboo shoots kept getting chopped down, would it be able to cope with this treatment over a long period? this works against nettle, bramble thistle etc

yeah, i have had fun with moorhens over the years. all my collie crosses have been good for retrieving from water, and most have made decent feather dogs for live waterfowl too

That should ensure they come back nice and strong. The council here are spraying Japanese knot weed, every spring they go around with the weed killer and spray the young plants. Next year they are spraying the same young plants. I am not sure what weed killer they are using but it does not seem to be effective. A chap on our allotments had a plot on the edge of the allotment and the knot weed was encroaching from outside his plot. He used round-up the first weeks of September to good effect. the theory was that as the sap was dropping from the plants it took the weed killer with it and the

I saw a quote the other day.... : "Israel uses rockets to protect it's people, while Hamas uses people to protect it's rockets" Whatever the rights and wrongs of it all, it's not our war and we should keep out of it. Probably right Matt. Anyway,Israel seem willing and capable of taking care of things themselves ! I just don't like all this 'Free Palestine' crap - they could free themselves if they dropped their ridiculous list of pre - conditions and agreed to negotiate sensibly, like the democratically - elected representatives they claim to be. I'm sure the electorate of P

advice please gentlemen! (and ladies!) my cottage had been empty for some years before i moved in, and after 2 years i have now sorted the building out, the sheds and most of the garden. but i am having hell with bamboo! there is an area about 10 yards by 10 yards where someone has previously planted some bamboo, and the stalks are up to 15 feet high in places, and the roots are like iron, twisted into great knots and impossible to dig (i've tried, took a whole day to dig a trench a foot deep and about a foot wide and about five feet long, couldnt use a shovel had to use an axe and a pair

i boxed a bit and played rugby and cricket years ago, also learnt guitar and love reading, but these days i dont seem to have time for much. long hours at work, a young family and livestock to manage at home means that every second is accounted for nowadays!

complacent, or crap at his job joe. i guess when you are playing with firearms, complacent = crap!

the video was on the news, stopped it just before the guy got shot. he was standing just to the left of the muzzle, as the girl was shooting. why the feck he wasnt behind her while he was teaching is a mystery to me, he was in just about the most dangerous place he could have been. while i would never say somebody deserved something like that to happen, a man supposedly "instructing" but showing such idiocy was always an accident waiting to happen. poor girl.

never heard of a trumpeter pigeon, is there another name for it? we used to keep some with a crest called turbits

my grandad used to ride in the 1930s, died before i was born but would have loved to hear his stories. he knew t e lawrence (lawrence of arabia) and they used to go biking together apparently

mme, my brothers and our mates had sort of "pool cars" which we used to share, triumph dolomite, ford zephyr, one of them had a very old zodiac stretch limo for a while 9on its last legs, he torched it in the end!). then my older brother got a plymouth barracuda which i was allowed to use sometimes. but none of them legal, it wasnt until i was in my 30s that i actually sat my test, and was gifted a lada samara flyte 1.5i. f***ing deathtrap, but like a rocketship on wheels from 0-40, used to beat xr3i's and golfs from the ligghts, just wouldnt go much over 45 mph!! but pretty reliable, drove fr

for me, its hard to see past a collie/grey. great nose, patient, focussed, quick enough to catch bolters and smart enough not to tangle in a long net. well, not often!

get a ferret kit and let them grow up together as mates, you will always have the option then, and the ferret need not be redundant, can just be a pet round the place

get her loose off the lead while shes still little enough to be unsure of the big wide world, so she is looking to you for reassurance. this will teach a dog to just be aware of where you are and and from a young age it becomes accustomed to the idea that you are leading the walk, not the dog. when she looks at you, crouch down and make excited "come here" noises. if you have obedient older dogs then this will become easier. there are lots of ways to teach recall, all have pros and cons. darbos method works just fine, personally i use a long line once they know the command, if i find it needs
-
i dont think that will make an overly big dog, maybe 22-23". as joe says, work on her recall even if you do no other training, tug toys are good for this. and if you havent had running dogs before, be aware that when they decide to chase another animal they wont be called off, so livestock breaking is a MUST. well done for taking the pup, looks like a bright little thing!

I am in the process of taking them to court its just taking to long to get any where i really hope you do them as much damage as they have done for you an ye dog mate. they held mine an my friends for 12 months, because we were accused of hare coursing.... bare in mind my bitch was 5 months old. just on a walk. i could not imagine the horror getting a dog back like that, id end up torching their building with them all in it. a lot have things have crossed my mind if i had known what i no now things would have been different just a quick up date all paper work has been served Th
