  2. Ha ha! I spend my life neck deep but its all good, as long as I can still breath I'm a happy bunny!
  3. hi Steve its hardly expert knowledge,i have spoke to several people who fettle,Andyfr1968,Wurz, with there help and actually seeing it done by John a trained gunsmith.it gave me the confidence to take on this task! so it just goes to show if you do your home work, you can achieve most fettle's next challenge is a lathe,i have one lined up and for a good price i just have to convince her indoors that it is definitely needed,as well as the arc welder Hi Davy,Whenever my wife complains about me spending money; I remind her that I dont smoke, dont drink (excessively that is) dont wo
  4. See, there's just something special about doing it with the good old reliable spring piston rifle and a pocket of pellets!
  5. Great idea. RWS superfield in both 4,51 and 4,52. Falcon accuracy plus. Jsb express H&N FIeld target trophy. They are all very sought after.
  6. Hmmm this is news to me, didn't know there was a revamped version about.
  7. Brilliant pellet trap there, thanks for sharing. If my garden were big enough I would give that a go that's for sure!
  8. Looking like a smashing set up that! I've always liked the look of those ultras. There's only 3 pcp guns I like and would own and that's one of them! Mawders
  9. Hey Craig thanks for sharing buddy. I recently purchased a similar thing from great fun targets. Ten quid delivered to the door and its small enough to put in my game bag for when boredom creeps in and the vermin don't want to play, I go stick it out in the ground and plink away. Like you said they are also good to keep your rifle zero checked. I know if I miss a sitter I'll go and drop my spinning target out and double check it isn't the scope playing up. Peace of mind at the end of the day! Phil
  10. Wow I had never heard of this method before, sounds good, only thing is I reckon I would feel like the predator with laser pointers ha ha! Just goes to show you learn something new each day. Mawders
  11. Timmy has to be the mac daddy of pro sport shooters, did you see some of the bags he was getting in my pro sport thread? That group above was very similar to what I was getting with mine but at 30 yards as my indoor range doesn't go to 35 and to be fair it took pure concentration to get a group like that at 30 yards! The prosport will remind you of who's boss though if you don't hold her consistently when group shooting as I found. Phil
  12. So good to hear of another happy customer! I don't think anyone could leave that shop without a smile on their face! The shooting of a springer takes alot of practice mate so stick with it, when you get it you'll never look back! All the best Phil
  13. Congratulations, was a pity I couldn't make the weekend but a family holiday put pay to that! Looks like everyone had a good time! Here is wishing Mr & Mrs Pittaway all the best! X Phil
  14. Let us know how you got on at the range! Any pics?
  15. Hey nick, Your pro sport is essentially as good as it gets out the box mate! They really are silky smooth from the get go pro sports. HW are one of the best spring piston rifle makes out there as well but of late there have been far to many reports of cheaper internals sourced for them or cut mainsprings that havnt been finished properly! The quality has really gone down hill of late with the occasional good one making it through. Both AA and HW are still where its at in terms of top spring piston rifles but sadly both manufacturers have let the side down lately! HW's have always
  16. If it has the bull barrel mate its a mk3. Ie the barrel is the same size all the way to tip and doesn't have the silencer fitted on the outside. Hope that helps.
  17. I know when I had my pro sport it loved the AA fields but I only tried 4,52 size. Others told me to try and get hold of some 4,51 as they were meant to be good. Cracking group at that range mate! Phil
  18. If the pellet is the most accurate in the barrel that's got to be the best. All three pellets you listed are cracking spread wise but 5 fps spread is truly fantastic results!
  19. Cracking shots deano, where abouts are you based?
  20. Nice one darryl buddy! Obviously I don't know how long ago you filmed this so my question is, have you managed to bed it in yet or get down the range? Maybe you could tell us the benefits of using a vmach kit in an AA product? Is it less recoil? Less bounce? Smoother operation over the standard parts? Excellent work mate! You youtube posters are doing a cracking job to educate us that do t tinker with our rifles. Phil
  21. Whoooaa where's part two, lol. Come on dont keep us in suspenders mate. Love these videos, it actually means someone like me who has never opened a rifle get a sense of what's going on in an air rifle! Good going mate, can't wait for second part. Phil
  22. I believe the thread is still there for everyone to see and read. Make up your own mind whether it was just or not to ban him. The one thing I will say is that I was disgusted to see and read threats of physical abuse directed towards him which is a big no no in my book! Whatever happened or whoever's feet he trod on there was no need whatsoever to offer violance and that came from a so called respected member! When I start seeing that kind of thing in a public domain it sickens me! Those people really let themselves down. I think that thread was only ever going to end one
