Good shooting Skott. Looks like a nice perm. Phil -
Fantastic read pal, good pictures! Keep up the tales buddy. Phil

Money saving feature, its what makes the wooden KT more appealing but you pay through the nose for having thumbhole and adjustable stock. I think all air rifles should have an adjustable stock feature. The synthetic 97 is a way for people to own the 97 at a lower price, its clever marketing really. Well done on fitting that butt pad anyway, looks like a cracking job you have done there! Phil

Brilliant crisp footage that Si, looked like a killing spree! Knee deep in rats lol! No wonder they need to be taken care of that place is riddled with the blighters! Phil

Sparkey, its just practice mate, Use the same hold per shot and you will see the group really tighten, don't wrap your fingers round the stock at the forend nor grip hold of the gun to tight. AA fields in 4.52 were right in my barrel at reasonable ranges up to 25 meters but after that I find they open up some what. Tried RWS superfield in 4.52 at half the price and they seem fine, you can see me hitting bottle tops and spinners out to 50 meters using them. Springer shooting is a real art form which is why pcp only shooters annoy me when they mock spring piston rifles because

Nice shooting Skot! Nothing wrong with those groups at all! Just remember the vermin doesn't care if its pellet on pellet, as long as you hit the vitals! Si's a perfectionist and nothing short of a one hole group will do! He can do it and works damn hard at it all the time! Getting to know him has shown me what a professional he is, we manage to have a laugh but he is a machine! It would take a lifetime of solid practice to pull off what he can do time and time again! Yeah it may seem to some that this is a cock rub but unless you met him and watched him you wouldn't unders -

Cheers for the comments. Timmy haha I know and hear you about the cocking, I guess I can be a bit brutish lol. The rifle was chronod again before the shoot, she's had about 600 pellets through her since my visit to you, guess what power she is now? Bang on 11ft/lb mate like the day it left you! Phil -

Cheers mate, I would live to start hft, never been before. Just mastering this rife and then I'll have some fun at local hft shoots before maybe entering the odd competition. Cheers for the comments si, lets drag some hft knockdowns out with us later ;-) Phil -

Nice one mate, Must apologise for my moment of Tourette's half way through, the awesomeness of the Pro Sports accuracy can do that to you haha! 50 meters doesn't sound to far but when your trying to hit a bottle top at that range your cross hairs and milldots dwarf the bottle top. ATB Phil -
Some Photos From The Range Today (Si & Mawders)

Brilliant night down the range Si, That 98 is something special and you also shoot it with blistering accuracy! I'm completely in amazement at the 3 shot group I shot with the superfields! I'm just glad others were there to witness it, I'm sure there are those out there that think it can't be done with a pcp let alone a boing stick! Top shooting again buddy, its gonna have to be a real man test next time and try empty rim fire cartridges at 50 meters! ;-) Phil -
Now that sounds like an impressive shot right there pal, good sized bunny and lovely rifle to boot, bet your still smiling! Phil
-
It does look very nice indeed, always been a fan of the huntsman classic, this one just looks superb in that new stock. Phil
-
Ha ha brilliant! I've had foxes pinching my shot quarry and a few times now on one of my permissions I've had the local buzzard land and pinch my shot pigeons and maggies! All in all I don't mind really as they have to eat as well and I'm not solely reliant on the vermin I shoot as a food source. I like seeing old Charlie about my perms. Watching him stalk not knowing I'm there. I've even had them walk right up to me before and sniff my boots, lol. Phil

Nice one Simon, It's good to see you finally set up with your rifle. When I had my stage 2 97KT I found H&N FTT a real tight fit and wasnt to impressed with the groupings, like you some were low some were high. I think if you have found on the whole most group well then weighing and sorting may have to be the order of the day with them. Si did a video not long back showing the difference they make to groupings if not weighed out. Suppose it depends how serious you want to take things for compitition shooting. ATB Phil

Both are brilliant rifles but my money would go on the tx200 and I've owned both. Out of the two I would buy another tx. Phil -
Wow, another great bag mate, your certainly a good shot with the goddess of hunting! Phil

Now that was a brilliant post and project! Thanks for sharing your hard work with us. Just shows what can be done when you know what your doing! Phil
