Gunpower Stealth Filling Help
Mawders replied to Sam H's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Did you vent the pressure from the dump valve on the divers bottle so there is no pressure in the whip? If you have then brute strength is required. Can you fit spanners round both sections to give you some grip? Phil -
Got to be time for the video to be released surely? Can't wait. Phil

I'm only posting because I feel it really disappointing to ban someone for their opinion. I would post if it were any of the regulars here, just think its really disappointing this couldn't have been sorted any other way. Your all my friends so it burdens me to see what has been going on lately! Watching from the wings. Oh well I guess the powers to be have made their minds up and have cast mr miles out. I hope no more ridicule or saying it how it is carried on now as it won't be fair as he's not here to defend himself. Peace and live to all Mawders out

You may need to strip it mate and just clean off any excess. You could end up burning the piston seal and causing damage. Phil

Am I right in thinking miles has been banned now? If so is this a temporary or permanent ban? Although some have taken offence to his recent opinions should it not also be taken into consideration all he contributed to this site in the past year? I think this whole past 48 hours has been shameful for all parties involved and what should be a fun place to come hang out with adults has turned into a playground for everyone. It makes me genuinely sad to see the behaviour displayed here from all parties. Phil

Pianoman, Alot has been said and so far I've not wished to comment or get involved as I don't have a war to fight with anyone. However your post really is a tad bit abusive. There are also threats there of physical abuse which I don't condone maybe you should tidy it up a bit mate. You don't have to I understand and not wishing to fall out, that's far from my intention but please consider the implications of offering violance. Cheers mate Phil

Congratulations mate that's awesome news! Chuffed for ya.

It used to be the case that fixed barrel air rifles such as under levers like the tx and 97 were more accurate as over time some of the less well engineered break barrels would be prone to the barrel moving slightly out of alignment. But that was more of a concern for ft or hft shooters as pinpoint accuracy is everything. These days as long as you get a decent make break barrel they are just as accurate as a fixed barrel rifle mate. Not worth worrying about at all. The is probably one of the best break barrel springers out there but a rifle I had never really looked into until recen

Tax Rebate Means New Treat!! (Scope)
Mawders replied to WoodsmanJim's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Feck all in my rebate! Standard! What better way to spend a rebate though on shooting goodies! Interesting you went for the fixed mag because I was thinking the same thing. In all the years Ive been shooting I've never used any other settings than 10x even though my scope goes up to x12. Crazy isn't it! Let us know how you get on, got any pics of it mounted to the gun, and also would you mind letting me know how much you paid? Phil -
Well how did you get on!!!!! Need a write up and pics!

The Only Way Is Straight
Mawders replied to Mawders's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Thanks for that porky! But back on topic does anyone know if this would effect accuracy over greater range? I'm reluctant to correct it as to me it looks straight but could be the way I hold my rifle? -
Evening chaps, chapets and miles, I have had a few people recently pick up my rifle and fire a few shots, apart from the obvious high praise of workmanship that's gone into the rifle what with it being stage 2 tuned from SFS everyone has commented that my scope is very slightly canted over one way, and I mean very slightly! Now to me it looks near enough straight and I'm stacking pellets on top of each other at 25 yards so my question is: will having a slightly canted scope according to others really effect the poi? Or does that only matter if the scope is blatantly canted right over?

Makes me chuckle when I see young miles walking down the road with his Adidas track suit bottoms on and reebok trainers taking his staffie for a walk.

Hi Phil, The chrono reading for 7.9g Accupells averaged 10.25ftlb, but the8.4g AA Field produced a rather high reading averaging 11.36ftlb; quite a big difference for only a small difference in weight. I hope to get a F1 chrono soon to produce more accurate results. How many pellets did you have to put through before it settled down? Regards, Steve Hi mate, I think its gobbled up a tin of pellets now but still settling. I think really a few tins of pellets should see it settle. My 97 was pushing 10.5 ft/lb with AA fields so just waiting for my accupells to turn up so I can try t

Lovely mate, looks just like mine. Funny you should say accupells performed the best as I found that out the other night at the range! I was putting 5 pellets through the same hole after leading the barrel. Ordered two tins just waiting for them to be delivered. Keep an eye on the power Steve as once she beds she will probably be well above the legal limit. Bet your well chuffed with the results! Phil

That's one hell of a shot, those pellets do some damage it would seem! If your gun likes them then happy days!
-
Cheers Elliott Ill try and get hold of some and give them a whirl! I only had a handful to try last night but was very impressed with the accupells! So much so I've just ordered a couple of tins!
