  1. Yeah Davey agree, my mrs has asked for plenty of bonk holiday fettling! Who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth? ;-)
  2. Nice write up and cracking shots on those rabbits at those ranges. That stock from Sheffield custom stocks really sets the rifle off a treat! Money well spent and a defined cheek piece now!
  3. Well played buddy! Those blooming cows always ruin the party! One of my perms has cows on it and I avoid them like the plaque, especially the big arsed white bull that likes to chase people who are dressed in camo! Phil
  4. If your dealer is willing to fit it for free on its annual service then I say go for it mate. Cracking rifles that as stated will be leaps better after a tune. Phil
  5. Nice one mate, as others have stated its nice to hear you have a healthy supply of rabbits. Phil
  6. Nicely done buddy, gives you a good grin when you get groups like that from a springer! Phil
  7. Hey Ben, AA fields 4,52 work a treat in mine. Not tried anything else other than accupell but they were like shotgun patterns lol. You could try the AA Field in 4,51 mate as I have heard from trusted sources every now and again a few pro sports come along that work very well on the smaller size. A strip down and re grease would suit it very well unless you were lucky enough to get one that's been greased properly by air arms. Phil
  8. Hey mac when I used .22 I found the JSB grouped well but would always give me the occasional flyer, switched to AA and found the only time I had a flyer was when I wobbled ha ha. Phil
  9. No mate we don't have ravens here, its a carrion crow, large adult. Adults generally get to the same size as ravens. Phil
  10. Funny isn't it how people who have owned and loved one of the AA range of springers almost always long for another or go back to them if they ever let them go. The pro sport is truly a master piece of engineering and looks coupled with that barrel make for a very quiet very accurate rifle. Benji you have made the right choice mate! She looks stunning. Even though I own one I live seeing other people's pro sports, brilliant. One word of advice though mate, make sure the first thing you do is drop a few drops of good oil in all pivot points on the cocking lever and also apply a fe
  11. Mac were AA Fields no good to you then in that rifle? Surprises me if they didn't group well. Phil
  12. Will do Tim, I still can't get over the size of that crow, biggest one Ive ever shot, you can see from the size and sharpness of that beak that they truly are dangerous vermin killing song bird hatchlings and such. Now I just need a perm where its littered with the winged menaces! I've got the bug for them now. Phil
  13. Sound like a cracking bunch of lads, but when your all done with your toy guns get yourself over to spring town! ;-) Welcome back buster. Phil
  14. Your welcome mate, I would be very surprised if the AA fields don't produce one hole groups for you or the H&N FTT. Phil
  15. Elliott you just have to get one mate, the PS is one of the best spring piston rifles I've shot since brings young lad. I've been through alot! Pity your not closer as you could have come out with me and tried it. Phil
  16. Villaman, Timmy worked on my Pro Sport as he has one himself and has stripped it more times than he's had hot dinners by all accounts. I'm sure he can do other springers as essentially they all work under the same principle! You would be best off pm'ing him I reckon mate. Si, it truly was a good day and we had a good laugh as well. The terrain is tough there which is why I never come back with massive bags, but then that doesn't disappoint me as like you said when you do get a good shot on it makes you appreciate what you had to do to get it. Your welcome anytime buddy! Oh and o
  17. I think macs has had a strip down and re finish from Darryl on here, so his should be silky smooth to now. Mac nice head shot mate. What lamps were you using? Phil
  18. Nice one Tim mate, will do. Phil
  19. I'm no expert Si, just a pedantic bugger who likes things to work properly and gets cheesed off with shoddy workmanship and poor assembly. What I've done to that PS could be done in an hour by anyone with commonsense and a bit of old fashioned care.I'm not singling out AA for flak because I think all the major manufacturers are remiss with QC but the inside of that PS was lubricated worse than my cheapy Cometa 300, all it needed was a few strokes of sandpaper and a bit of TLC to change things drastically. More importantly now, did the PS behave tonight? Mawders should be writing up a report,
  20. Timmy this extra work and matched spring and guide have me all excited, can't wait mate. Had an awesome day yesterday at yours and today out in the field! Tuesday night I'm hopefully going to smash the indoor range and get a whole tin through her! She's sooooo smooth now! Hardly any recoil, no noise from the action. A BLOOMING delight! Phil
  21. Righto, First things first, ive been reunited with my ultimate spring piston rifle after much swapping and changing due to one thing or another and this ones the one! Of course I'm on about the fabled Pro Sport. This new one went to TimmyTree for a much needed semi tune up due to the AA monkeys not greasing the internals properly in the factory and leaving many rough edges internally. I marvelled at its brilliance when Timmy handed it back to me on Saturday when I made the trip to his man cave. It truly was a different rifle indeed and from good experience having owned many tuned r
  22. Oh and by the way Aaron mate that's an awesome result pal! That 97 will do you well.
  23. Try h&n FTT or air arms field villa man.
  24. Good to see you kept up with Mr Pittaway! Davey has let me down again! I promised him a pint if he could beat Si. Grrrr
  25. My god! That's insane! If I shot a bag like that I would have nothing left on my perms ha ha! Well done dude. Atb Mawders
