    All pups hunt up a bit dont they. They learn to stop it at night and do it in the day..but sometimes its useful for a dog to hunt up at night too.. I agree with you on a drizzle or light rain with some wind. Helps to keep dogs cool aswell I think.

    Half cross bull or there abouts going to athletic type with very good feet. A bull terrier is hard to beat for intelligence stamina and guts. Greyhounds are clever dogs and also have a nose. Ive caught more mixed bags with Bullgreyhounds than with any other type.

    This country is full of kids who think they know it all but actually cannot take 6/7 days a week and yet still think they can handle keepering..All I can say is watch out because if the Poles get into it all you lazy little fuckers will be out for good.. Cant even get kids to pick spuds anymore. I took on about 10 scrotes last year and not one of them were worth a tenner a week..There are good kids about but are getting thinner on the ground by the minute..Winging is what most of them are good at..

    I know your mates sorted now but tbh if you get full litters to choose from then you are probably buying from a person who has bred for money. People who are breeding for good working stock are usually breeding for themselves and you will be offered the surplus what they dont want. I have had the last in the litter from this type of offering a few times and ended up with the best in the litter..

    A beginners dog should be the best you will ever have. Starting off with a so called easy to handle type is more likely to disappoint and cause a beginner to drift away or get on the road of changing dogs every week.

    Most Bullxs Ive had will choose or just watch rabbits that are too close to the hedge. They are very intelligent dogs as most dogs are in there own way.Ive learned its mostly down to breeding and if you breed your own dogs you can select the types you like over time. Ive had some good Colliexs and seen a few very good ones,but Ive also seen plenty of bad ones. The main difference in the two was mostly down to breeding.

    I just voted thanks to Irish dogs for link..It was showing 78% for the shits and 22% FOR US. We need to get the numbers up..You dont have to be in Ireland to vote for this..

    i don't think he was belittling you. He was probably on a rant! I believe they cost more than other earth dogs because the 300 pound pups aren't usually the earthdogs, theyre just pups bred for the pet and show market. Your still letting the money cloud the real issue,and its a point not a rant.

    I dont breed dogs for money or other people, but Ive never complained about the price when buying one. When your after a dog you shouldnt cloud your brain with details like money.. If its your mate whos asking you for a few hundred quid for a pup then hes not your mate. If its a stranger and the biggest worry youve got is the few hundred hes asking then you need to think again,are you looking for a dog or are you looking for a bargain.     bullx bitches make very good hunting up dogs,so do beddy greyhound/whippet or collie crosses. If you are going to use a gun though a Colliex may let you down because they dont like them ime. I like a dog that hunts up at night. It needs to be sensible and tough.
