    Seems a lot of folk glean there dog knowledge in the pub,and you can tell when they open there mouths.. The pub in question was called the dog and bull tho, so I reckon he knew his stuff and now you know as much has him eh?

    What cross is it mate? because thats more like young Greyhound behavior than anything, but all dogs in all breeds are not the same. You can have boistrous and quiet in the same litter. Its good for a pup to gallop and learn to use itself anyway.

    a bit of breakfast is ok if its liquidy like milk and egg or pasta and not too much. Its a good way to get some liquids into them to prevent dehydration. Main meal always after work.

    I go to Whitby at least once a year,I see people fishing,I would love to have a go. Course fishing has never appealed to me but fishing from the coast for fish you can eat really does,and it might stop me from spending so much money in the "fishermans wife" Is it difficult to learn..How do you get into it?

    I wouldnt bother with that mate..or if you are young you can learn the hard way after spending lots of lolly over a few years,but to save time just believe around 99% of terriers sold for work are crap. Its not easy finding the one percent but they do exist.

    To build stamina to a breeds potential you need to get it running. Build up and up varying the pace. It really needs to be with vehicle or horse. Or lots of chasing. You can be suprised how much wind/recovery a dog can have if its pushed.. A lot depends on the willingness of the dog and if it loves work. I know some breeds have more natural wind but the heart and lungs need to be built up. A dogs heart and lungs are not developed fully until its 2years old so dont push to the limits before then..

    I wouldnt knock what other people do for fun but they are totally diffrent sports and English Beagles hunting a wild Hare is about as close to Hound work as you can get. Most of the etiquette is built around fare play and giving quarry more than a sporting chance. When they catch its all theres. We just spectate.

    Interesting that Colby a very famous and successful breeder of pit bulls seen nothing wrong with breeding from a 9month old bitch if it had the right history.. Of course that is a lot diffrent to Hancock who doesnt breed working dogs,he breeds cross breds that are sometimes used for rabbiting.
