no good for a heavy bull x type and such like,you need something light and nimble and even then your continually pushing your luck Bullx type doesnt have to be heavy..Ive one 26tts and 64lb fit half cross.He runs stoney ground week in week out. Hes got great feet and a big engine. That ground is bad you have there but I think perhaps a Saluki type should run it perhaps? because a lot of dessert is like that I think,not all sand but very rough..

Just out of curiosity mate why shouldnt Fury be representing Britain on a world stage if he is good enough to ? Well I dont think he is good enough,and apart from that hes a gobby foul mouthed delusional moron who doesnt know how to behave in public. Apart from that I cant think of anything really. He does come across as a soppy big kid without an ounce of class i agree......but this is boxing its not big brother how popular you are makes no odds to what happens inside the ring and inside the ring he has done all thats been asked..........meaning so far he is good enough. you wont go far wrong with a stew that contains meat (try lamb)and some veg. Cook it slow and add some quality all in one biscuit in the bowl. Dont soak but make sure there is broth withe stew and drinking water available.The meal should be mostly meat. Every two days give a teaspoon of pure cod liver oil. Make sure its pure and dont over do it. One or two days a week just feed flesh (fat and all) with a hand full of good kibble. Big shin bones are good too for teeth and keep the dog happy,say one a fortnight.

good threads , your right with agilty with bullxs ive had 3 , and all did well for what they were, but you right they hsvnt got natural agilty like collies or salukis xs have . in fact my dog now Buck is my biggest lurcher ive ever had , he bigger than all my bullxs were taller+heavier than all of them, yet he as near agile as what Bryn is my colliex grey is. I was really surprised with his speed+agilty for big dog, but I think like collies , Alsatians are very +fast -agile type of dog for there size, and it deff shows it self in Buck, and he got good feet as well how did th

A mate of mine had a good halfx a few years ago.. A very good dog on Fox when it was legal,but after a season or two the dog decided he didnt like teeth after all,but was still good on other stuff.. My mate went back to Bullxs when the dog retired..

You hit nail on the head there,he is boring..Hes just getting through with his eye on the big money fight if he gets it.. He wont give Wlad any problems,but does he really deserve that chance? Personally I dont care if he deserves it,I just want to see him knocked out and gone..People like him shouldnt be representing Britain on a world stage. yeh you prob go for a tight foot in any type bred running dog , but seen some dogs with good lump of saluki in there make up, and very good feet, but wouldn't say they were that tight feet on the dogs I seen, not splayed but about normal. when dogs have flat feet ,its norm they got ( dropped pasterns ) they will splay there feet a bit , and nothing will bring them back up, its in the dog make up .a lot of dogs can be born like that , prob best thing to to do is when hunting season finished , get them on the roads . it (wont) change there feet+structure on the roads, but its better than bei

Do you mean it can be built right but made of weak bone? I agree with that,but that could be due to bad rearing. Good feet also include big thick pads and strong nails that dont quite touch the ground when stood on a flat surface.

You will never get to test a dog with flat as well as one with good. Its like racing a bike with flat tyres,it can never be at its best. Also,no amount of road work will ever improve bad feet. It will only cause suffering. Road work can help maintain good feet.

Its nothing to do with looks..its about performance.. If they look bad they are going to perform bad. If you ever get a chance look at dogs feet in action on a slow motion film. You will see how complex and what stress they are under.. How ever they perform will be less than if they had good feet, thats certain.

some of the best bulls in history have had flat feet fact had there legs broken etc and worked again and don't say they are not a running dog the strain and stress they put through them selves working is extream and slatmills or other training to condition them to work is prob more than a bull x will ever see after all they don't fight with there feet Thats where it goes wrong. Because a dog does well in its work in spite of bad feet there are people who look past a fault and breed it again and again.. That does not make it good.

I cant believe the crap I am hearing.. Dont keep a Bullx or any other dog with flat feet. It will go lame because it IS a running dog and needs good feet. A pure Bull should not have flat or bad feet. Everything a dog does,especially a running dog start from its feet.. If you are going to run Bullxs then insist on perfect feet. Ive kept and bred them for quite a few years,and I would cull a pup ive bred with flat feet..Ive culled pups Ive bought in when there feet have turned out bad.. You can measure a dogs height 3 days an get 3 different measurements,but i wouldnt expect more than a couple of inches on what you have now. Has said,wrists tell a lot.
