  2. you cant get out of your box on it.
  3. could it of been a trapped nerve? They sometimes treat that with valium to relax things in humans. Where do you get it, i need some badly...I is well up tight
  4. Most dogs will kill rats I think, but the point is that the majority of Border terriers in this country and probably the world do not like the dark and the things that lurk there. If then we are going to call bushing/ratting dogs working terriers then the situation can only get worse for Borders and the rest. I think thats why people who have good little strains of proper working terriers are a bit protective of them and where they go to live. In the past I have enquired after lots of Border litters only to find after questioning about the parents that they were considered workers because they

    Horse Meat

I tried to buy horse meat from a market in southern france, but i was always too late and it had sold out. It looked like venison from where i saw it,lovely deep colour and no visible fat. Only trouble is i dont really like venison. I would still love to try some though..

    Teckels

They usually have long leads on those tracking dogs. I think they all go deaf on you aswell off lead.
  8. Got this knife today mate. Lovely knife, superb quality and finish, with a nice balance to it..The sheath is also good quality and holds the knife firmly in place.
  9. Thanks for the Knife riohog,it arrived today. That is a quality knife mate. Ive paid lots more for less in the past. Superb workmanship and lovely balance. The sheath is also much better quality than looks on the picture and holds the knife nice and firm. If I see Bear down the feathers tonight Im gonna recommend one of these to him. atb J..
  10. Always cut sticks in late autumn winter when all the sap has dropped down. Ash is good i think and looks nice with bark on..You should leave it to season for a year at least. Ive only made a couple of small whips with a Beagle type thong, but i usually cut a few sticks every year and use them the following year for walking sticks. Look up Peter Loxley Smith on youtube hand making hunting crops and whips etc.. atb J.
  11. hows it bred? just curious. Dont mean to waste your time.
  12. Good warning that Collieman..Its not worth the risk if thats what it can do. Dogs dont need or desire light in there quarters. Its us who need the lights.
  13. Lazerlite lamps come with a red filter with a hole in the centre..British made..
  14. Instead of going out in digging mode, just go for walks, but put a collar on the dog when you do. Let him find things out for himself. If you go out with others be careful where you put him. You could easily ruin him at this young age..If you get a chance it would be useful to let him see another dog enter a hole, and then to hear it baying at quarry below ground. Do not let him off the tether but allow him to pull as far as the mouth of the hole..The smells and sounds will be enough to tell him all he needs to know, and that things are below ground that are good fun. Make sure the dog to ground i

  16. yeh sounds about right ,being able to cope. I think everybody at some time in there life as moments where they carnt cope, and need help. I no sometimes ive been really down from pain with my back , and it deff affects your mind you think fook this lot I could go to sleep and never wake up(pills) no more pain, but some how you snap out of it, but as ive got older it harder to do so mentality +physically you get worse you keep pumping mate...the dogs need you
  17. Nothing to do with strength.
  18. I was a member of the BFSS and am still a member today of CA. When war broke out in 97 with new labour I was amazed how the Beagle pack I followed then were not that keen on actively fighting the threat and in fact most were not members of BFSS. Hyde park and the big march yes they had to be seen then but lots of the smaller ones including Birmingham Centenary square, the labour party conference in Brighton and even Westminster,I can tell you now the coaches were sparse. I have since overheard conversations where people are getting all nostalgic (including masters) about those days when in fac
  19. Yes Ive noticed the CA not mentioning the Lurcher fraternity lately.. Its always the same with the fox hunters...We are all in it together until they are out of the shit again and then they dont want to know us. Dymented I assume you are not a member of The Countryside Alliance or they would be taking up your case?
  20. So what would a certificate be awarded for exactly?,is there a points system? is it carried out in natural circumstances or in artificials? I know they were not just handed out easily but can you give a bit more detail just for curiosity. Thanks
