Its tipping time..so most heifers will have a bull with them now to bring them on.. there hormones are all over the place.. but if it was a field of black and white friesan bullock calves.. get used to it or walk somewhere else..there trying to intimadate you.
-
so did your own terriers you said... so if you gelled the 2 knowing this of course it will show up...
-
how deep I agree to a certain extent which is you drop them you should dig them out nose to nose with there fox but surely every terrier that's supposed to be working should do this everytime if its classed as a worker? but you hear folk on here saying there terrier runs big dead places to reassure them or some have even dug good terriers to a rabbit 1 time...Top class terriers don't do these things..had a bitch named lucy 92 around this time we were doing a lot of terrier work at least 4 times a week she really opened my eyes to what and how top class terriers worked...only a small bitch b

thought as much...thanks.

Rippem I don't know a lot about bull terriers but when I lived in the states I lived for over a year and a half in a place called yonkers in NY... I worked in construction and worked with a few coloured lads and 2 porto recians who had dogs down from the rapper DMX off a dog called the grand champ I think.... was just wondering if these dogs were of any credibility... I had visited there yards and they had a few fine looking specimens... but were they just popular because a rapper had bred them? I had also been in a yard in Arizona in 2003 where it was claimed it was DMXs place... there was a

lol...yea there called static bugs I believe..ive never had a call out for them but I have heard of them.
-
just one to do tomorrow and only about 4 in the last 5 days...starting to dry up here but has definitely been a good season for them.

Its true to say there is a lot of good black dogs about where they started by being bought from brian direct, and good dogs originally bought from gould although if I got one of these dogs now a days it wouldn't be direct and it wouldn't be called a nuttall or a gould it would be called a black dog from x whos been keeping this stuff right for over 20- 30 years ... but there would be other old stuff through the line like Roberts old stuff but there was already many very capable good unknown terrier men in Ireland working black types and these were also infused...some gelled some didn't but the

will take that advice on board Pablo... thanks for that.

why didn't you just try the dog if you brought it single handed to it. Could be young or old fox.your more than experience men. try the pup? because it was his first time going to be to ground... and the said burrow was too big for a pup I think. so we got an older bitch brought her down and dug single, which is the only way terrier work should be done ... lol.. doesn't matter what age the fox was it was too much of a challenge for a pup! hes bred right so up to me to enter him right ... not ruin him over what someone on the thl thinks....
-
Have a wee black pup here 15 months old...first time I have had a black dog in the yard in 15 years... I like him and his whole attitude a lot ( maybe because hes been reared with whites lol) so take him out sat when asked to check a few holes for a farmer... we bring him from vehicle collar on pup and older dog was on stand by in box... we walked over 3 burrows we knew were handy enough for a pup for first time... we walked up pup said no so we walk on down the ditch to the last hole over a full field but ranges from 4 to 8 foot so lead pup up and take a walk on down anyway... we get down 5 y

Lol..there was a whole show on channel 4 a while back about a crowd of these people.. the barstewards even travel to human dog shows.. where they dress up as different dogs and get judged! Theres even a crufts in france theey go to.. and guess what its all top banksters and judges who are into it. These are some very disturbed individuals.. i think the show was called human pups..

you should never have to TEACH a hunting breed how to hunt... the ANTIs love that silly theory, not saying the OP is an ANTI or anyone else... im just saying.. if its a terrier with proper terrier DNA..(ie) his owner and many owners before them used them for vermin/pest control...they will hunt instinctively...same as the lab. springer lurcher and so on.
-
Lol... bed bugs are very difficult to treat... if she washes her bed clothes @90 degrees.. then id treat with phobi or cymetrol and ficam d the sockets.. thats if you find them.. most pest control suppliers will have bed bug detectors and monitoring pads in stock.

Spot on ... and what I would consider a rangey spot is 15 eyes even more.. going from shallow to deep... stretching over a large area...5 eyes may be gleaming ...10 dead. terrier says no.... walk on... I try same spot month later...completely dead looking no signs at all terrier drops in first hole and speaks 15 mins later far side maybe 30 yards away! is that terrier not to be trusted because he doesn't run dead holes? and is that terrier not to be trusted running rangeys all day and because he DOESNT drop means he doesn't knows his job?
-
dogs don't stretch out when sleeping they curl up into the phetus position.
-
I have asked this many times...how do you get a dog to enter an empty burrow if you are not egging it on as they say even a pup? I have been out many a days and checked maybe 30 burrows and got nothing... the terrier may have only run 3 burrows that day which to mean means out of 3 of the 30 burrows quarry has passed through it in the last 48 hours but its not home right now and its worth a checking in the next few days and see if you catch him home... Now from a pup when ready to enter ill collar up a young dog and let him tell me whats home... if he travels on a fresh scent and says no...
-
good wee set up you have sorted yourself there... just one suggestion to you and don't mean to sound like you haven't done a great job already, would be to put a galvanized 2 mil 8 x 4 sheeting along your back boards/fencing.... I know your fencings already treated but the galvanized will keep the smell of pish up against your boarding as you can scrub the galvaised with a yard brush, prevent terriers if bored chewing on the boards and considering youll be scrubbing it out and hosing it down once a day it will prevent the last 4-5 bottom boards from rotting over the next few years....I see you

I was just thinking the same things... I have seen blaise post on here were 1 hunt and they have had 2-3 in a stop! so have yous been out searching 102 times and that has produced 69 digs? or 69 badgers?
-
I have lived in the states for 5 years seen raccoon, skunk grey fox and american badgers... From what I have seen your quarry species size doesn't differ much and id say any terrier that you think looks BIG on a computer screen would get to any of your quarry species in a hole no problems.
-
Have you seen his dogs or know of them? He was talking to me about lords and sheiks!
-
jeeeesus... I rung this lad for a bit of craic to see what he had to say.... and by god has he a lot too say... the lurcher games f****d!

News On Scrapping The Fox Ban
stop.end replied to English Stag's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I would think the U.K. would be far too busy with some serious human welfare issues and brexit business at the moment to be having to haphazard try and push anything as regards hunting with dogs through parliament? wouldn't be surprised though. -
And yous think this isnt perfect timiing to cover the mother of all cluster fukcs the usa have just committed in syria then?
