  1. Going tonite myself should be a good card.
  2. Thai chi when done correctly is amazing its obviously not a contact sport but its about harbouring inner strength correcting your breathing.. very important to martial artists. Loosens and stretches all of your joints and centres you.. learns balance technique and after a few session with a proper teacher you will notice a great difference in mental attitude and physical well being.
  3. Great result men. the whole of the mainland UK who participate in and is working terriers for the genuine reasons and not ego in my view should be members of the F.M.W.T.C. once affiliated and a member should then join N.W.T.F. these men and there clubs are dedicated to saving and preserving terrier work in its purest form for a long time longer than most on here are putting muck on the bank... the membership is pennies and only goes towards the annual running of these fine establishments and believe me there is more legal work going on behind the scenes trying to preserve terrier work tha
  4. solognac is very good hunting gear, and very fairly priced for the quality your getting and looks like hiking gear so your not like a walking bush.
  5. everyone on here asking advice... if you have a pup to start and bunnies to go, at run em... the reason so many dogs have bad feet is because they worry about the ground... a dogs who does well in their later ages have been run at everything in every type a ground growing up!
  6. Hope that dog does the business for you fella he's a nice type and looks built for work.... you may also wanna take down that pic or change your setting on you pukebucket to private...anyone could snoop you pix like I did...nice lurchers by the way
  7. That's sensible advice alright....NOT. If your trying to run a business then you have got to roll with the punches and bite your tounge hard sometimes...especially when in the pest control business. Sometimes lessons in business can be very expensive but it will be a mistake you will never repeat again hopefully. When I get a call out they are told on the phone the price, of course they try and haggle but I tell them the price is the price non negotiable.. if not happy im not haggling or turning up simple as that. If its a contract I work it our correctly so I make profit...im not doing it
  8. sound advice mary... the dogs tail is connected to is spine plus its back legs & femur bones very important for the terriers thrust, its main driving muscle.. a terrier digs with their front legs and pushes through with its back legs... a terriers tail has never been docked for a handful or the show brigade, its been done for century's for the welfare of the terrier... so it doesn't get tail sore wagging its tail doing the job a terrier loves in very confined spaces most of its working career.. if you open a hole correctly there is no need to grab for the terriers tail. just back

  10. Terriers walked twice a day in morning and in the evening off the lead should be grand for them plus most of the day my terriers mix on the yard... and there steady wrestling and running up and down the yard, getting exercises and working loads of muscles neck and jaw play fighting... they know works coming soon.
  11. Have many folk used them? I know there a very powerful gun but how did the folk that used them rate them on accuracy? my trigger pull also seems very strong for an air rifle.
  12. thanks for the feed back men much appreciated...I ended up purchasing the gun and took it to a field tonite after work.... not a bird in sight was limited to how long I could stay and never pulled the trigger once... hopefully it will serve me well to.
  13. cheers burnie... im new to this shooting stuff but the gun suited me well... thanks for the feed back.
  14. just been using one recently on the pigeons and I like it... yesterday we set up at 3.30 and left at 6.50... ended up with 35 pigeons on a 3 to 1 ratio which isn't too bad for a novice.... the guns 12 year old but very well maintained and still as smooth as silk...hes looking 250... is that good or too expensive...I aint clued up much on guns... thanks!
  15. Novices, names and money prob.
  16. Dido I even lift back flashing a bit after watching them for ten mins to make sure I have a greater chance of penetration... I have never had a call back but I think its not over as quick as some think.
  17. I also hang around for ten mins sometimes more depending how busy I am monitoring the nest after I dust it.. I always see a few wasps merge from the nest as soon as its dusted, my theory is that they are out and giving of a pheromone then drones pick this up and within 5 to 10 mins the entrance of the nests bes very active with all wasps entering and exiting and you can usually see that all will have picked up dust on their back and legs... I was called to put non return valves on an old house today where rats where getting in and blocking the drains with stone and coming up the pipe... we got

All round the Northwest of Donegal from the very tip on the coastline in malin head where you can see scotland along the ROCKS for 10 years and still do and plenty of folk on this site know its rocky and hunt it also to pettigo which is still lowland rock country. But its nowhwere near like what the welsh/scotch men run...to muck and re claimed lands in the north of Donegal Fatman if you up this way let me know and ill show you a few spots. Now Neil if you have a problem with me and what I say take it to PM...and stop stalking me like an ex GF ya weirdo.. I was just 45 miles from your house
  20. Correct..! Wrong.. The law only says for vermin control and it's only a permission slip from land owner OR land rep,,,which can mean anyone in charge of ANY BIT OF LAND nclueding your own garden as it don't say how big or small said land has to be .So all you really need is a permission letter saying the pup will be used in vermin control on private land and it's down to the vet what they want to see paperwork wise, the law or act is posted on the top of the page so worth a read on what is written in it Wrong? oh ok maybe I worded it wrong... but in my world vermin is a predator
  21. I believe the law in the U.K. is if you have a terrier bred for work underground and have a legally held FAC and have written permission to monitor farmland for predators there is an exemption in the tail docking bill as the terrier will be working in confined spaces (i.e) underground.
  22. the digging comp at the Westmeath show was 1.2 or 4 ft in 30 mins... not easy either....
