    let me explain it to you this way.... just say your seen now with a pup at 6 months old and docked could be walking to the shops or just taking it a walk...some busy body joe public or dog warden meets you on a walk.. the dog warden will ask for a docking cert.... joe public could report you...you cant produce it, pups confiscated could be years of breeding down the tube.. a fine and probably an article in a paper portraying you as a babrbaric savage who hasn't a clue... they are the wronguns but that's just the way the worlds going and terriermen have to be seen to be doing everything legal a

Thats what his nose is for..you let the dog work it out and he will soon show you if he has a nose or not...hate seeing an owner gee or psst any dog on... watch the dog he will soon show YOU were the quarry is not you showing the dog... after a while of working with him you will soon know if somethings about by his body actions even before he speaks... best of luck with him.

    The fact of the matter is if you meet the requirement of the exemption, and your vet refuses to dock ...then the vet themselves maybe unbeknown to them, they are actually committing an animal welfare offence.

    there is an exemption in the bill for working breeds. .HPRs and terrier's are legal as long as you provide the vet with proof that its for working purposes and not cosmetic...as your terrier would be used underground a working breed...then its perfectly legal.... produce your shotgun certificate and written permission that you have legal land to use your terrier for legitimate pest control... and the vet should have no problem doing it... I had a vet call to my kennells last week to dock a pup..all legal and above board and signed paper work. house call and docking of pups tail cost me 37 qui

    good read...but nowt to do way terrier work...was out today with a pup whos bred the best fed the best and socialiazed the best... his first 2 digs were bang on..hes been fed the same diet twice but seemed to spew today on 2 easys... an 11 year old Lakeland bitch, who couldn't eat a farleys rusk went in and cleaned up twice... whos fed on utter shite as far as id say...so its nowt to do way diet lol
