  1. Depends on time of year, work load. I feed 3 times when working hard, once when they have done there shift, once when I get up and once again about 5 hours before they go out. In the Sumer I feed once a day and twice a day in the winter when not doing much.

  16. I think sometimes people don’t realise a ferret needs bringing on they think it’s a natural hunter and it’s as easy has turning up and putting them to ground. Like a lurcher they need everything in there favour in there early days and also need there fitness building up. A days graft is just that sometimes, graft. It’s hard work when you are having a day of none bolters and the ferret has to keep killing in.
  17. If you have got a good marking dog with you it’s a bonus as you know there’s something at home when you put them to ground. If you Know of some shallow warrens it’s a great help also. Some kits just seem to be natural and others need a little more coaxing.
  18. Nice one vin. Your Dog is looking well, is that Venus in the bottom pic?
  19. There looks to be some big old feet on that dog. It don’t look the fastest type of animal but it certainly sounds like there is no shortage of brain there. I for 1 certainly look forward to hearing how it progresses.
  20. Took me mate you’ve had some goings on at your place over the few years I’ve known you. I am so glad I live in a small quiet place like I do. having said that it ain’t short of carry ons round here but it’s nothing like where you live.
  21. The old saying it’s the quiet ones you got to watch was true there. He Just got on with that.
  22. I’ve been on here since 2011 I was under trigger for about 12 months previous To that. Ive been involved in my fare share of arguments on here at 1 time or another. Ive found most of the folk I have met through this forum to be good lads and they have become good friends. The place as changed a lot over the years and a lot of the good thread starters no longer start topics which is a shame.
  23. Don’t beat yourself up about it?
