had nothing but an automatic response from mine saying he will get back to me within 6 weeks! Havent checked my email yet but that will be the standard, heres the link to the proposed amendments for anyone wants to look - http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukdsi/2015/9780111137628/pdfs/ukdsi_9780111137628_en.pdf I got to admit i had a tantrum at first but it does look like a step in the right direction, plus more opportunity for digging!

Done it but the daft Labour MP never came back before even after me chasing it up, I doubt the silly B*** will this time either!

It seems one good thing to come out of this is the amendment that will allow dogs to ground to protect livestock as well as birds for shooting, if this is the case, on that basis alone we'd be daft not to support it, I think we'll have to see what happens! Its a start and the repeal debate hopefully is yet to come.

https://www.gov.uk/hunting/hunting-equipment Hunting with dogsYou can’t use dogs to hunt: foxes hares deer You can use dogs for: stalking and flushing out - but only to control pests, eg hares, and only if they’re shot as soon as possible afterwards hunting rats and rabbits retrieving hares that have been shot drag hunting and trail hunting taken from the UK gov website - you cant legally take a fox on the run with a lurcher unless it has been shot first

I think it comes under hunting a mammal with a dog - Fox = mammal......lurcher = dog. I dont think your point would stand up in court, but worth a try if you get nicked lol

Tim Boner and his cronies can go F-Off i knew they would do this the scum, sending lurcher work down the river for so their hounds can hunt, so nothing will change for most of us we will still have to carry a shotgun or firearm in order to walk the lurcher in case anything other than a rabbit or rat jumps up, i cant believe i wasted my time trying to get a response out of a labour mp for them to do this. As far as im concerned the CA and LACS can jump off a cliff together hand in hand their perfect for each other. He's about to get a reply to the email he just sent to me that he probably wont

I think a lot of it is a sales pitch, most of the people that use the big names will prob of never seen them work, so how do they know what traits they are acquiring good and the bad and how do they know it will suit their bitch and their style of hunting? After all do we not breed to produce offspring better than their parents? I'm not saying the big names are crap, but I wouldn't use a stud I haven't seen work.

In my opinion the CA have always dropped a bollock with this. Hunting with hounds, even to the layman, is an emotive subject now. 'Working class' hunting, rabbiting ferreting would be a better line to go down in some cases but sadly the CA are almost fecking usless and have squandered 'our' money fighting a piss poor campaign for the only fieldsport they are interested in, hounds! Im not sure but it seem like theirs some sort of division even in the dog game not just hunting in general, everyone out to protect there own, time will tell...

Good topic Fuj, the thing is we all have predictive text and still we struggle, I bet it takes twice as long to text talk than to just write the post lol
-
Personally i gut the animal up to the stomach leaving the lungs, kidneys, liver, heart in, anything below the dog prob wont eat and you will have to clean it up after it tears it out, I skin as well only because i believe it helps with retrieving, the dog is used to you skinning before it eats so is inclined to retrieve.

I hate these stupid polls by idiot journalists, when are they going to realise that the act is not just a ban on toffs in costume chasing fox, complete fcuktards,
-
Yeh but it only takes is swift donation from LACS and Sturgeon could just change her mind, but it seems like there will be a vote on the matter sooner than we thought.

I think one of the problems is that the best and most knowledgeable in this game are the quietest, no body wants to speak out due to the attention it would attract, after all we always told to keep ourselves to ourselves never attract unnecessary attention. The ban couldn't be repealed back to how it was social media has put an end to that, the idiots would have banned again in no time. I like the idea of the Donahue law where deliberate cruelty must me proven which cannot be used against hunting with dogs as long as its done in a respectful manner. To speak out against any other form of h

Yes but are we all united? we see a lot of bull x are to fat Sal x are plodders, whippets have shit feet and get tore up running through long grass, not on here but locally I've come across a few anglers that are inherently against hunting, also one or two shooters that think its ok to shoot fox but to send a lurcher at one is disgusting, its frustrating but seems everyone is out to protect their own sector rather than realising they are being conquered because they are divided, I would never speak out against any hunting as long as quarry is sustainable and respected, jmo though.

nah the Tories won't sell it down the river( saying that they won't overturn it either) Bit it was sold down the river years ago by them socialist traitors labour don't forget ! Lol True, I think the best way looking at it is labour are not in power, at least its not going to get harder for working dogs.
-
The SNP shouldn't get involved Scottish hunting laws are different to England and Wales, I said it before I wouldn't put it past the Tories to make compromise and send lurcher and terrier work down the river
