    Lampings was the only way forward for me this season, had a few days ferreting but usually been for a walk late on, few hours few runs, that bitch has worked hard for what we have took these last few month, ive put a bit a work in and next seasons already looking a bit different maybe some more daytime forays? Still love being out with just me, the lamp and dog in the pitch black night hunting while everyone else is snoozing

    Salt water bathe a few times a day for a couple of days,leave it open to dry to heal while kennelled or round the house,when out keep on a lead until its healed. Atb

    where I am (north west England) you cannot move for running dogs & terriers, every other time I am out I see someone else! maybe because we have lees space up here, theres little chance you could push a roe out into the open they aint daft up here.

    Police are w@nkers, my dad got £10,000s worth of motorbikes stole from his garage and because it wasn't a dwelling they wouldn't send anyone out, they asked if he would take pics and send it to them! Some of the comments on facebook were funny out 100 & odd comments most of them were calling the police, two cars for some lurchers, it would be a shame if somebody was mugged or killed while they fcked about in a field, waste of our money

    For treats/rewards I have a chicken factory close by so by £20 worth of chicken breasts,grill or boil it and let it dry, then cut it up into bitesize chunks, its the only time the dog gets cooked food bar scraps, all her meals are raw meat and bone atb mate

    Hope you missus doesn't see this pic because she will probably kill you lol. I feed my dog off a tray and he picks food out and takes it onto a rubber matt. Haha I always put it in her bowl and she takes it out and smears it on floor eats mince out of her bowl though, if I don't close the kitchen door she takes it in the living room, then the missus goes mad quick mop up afterwards all sorted Atb

    I try and work it 70% meat 20% bone and 10% organ, she rarely doesn't eat and if she doesn't eat it within half hour I take it away and try after another walk. She loves her rabbit, I also get raw mince from butchers when we ain't got our own, 50p a bag you cant knock it

    I'd be carful if your going for collie x check the breeder out because you could be getting some rescue greyhound x KC COLLIE it may just turn you away from this game, I wouldn't even think about the cross just find someone who is working both parents to your intended quarry and take it from there, be willing to travel as well mate Atb Micky

    Is the quarter a proper bull? What's her running style & stamina like? I'm curious as you only hear of saluki x doing hares now a days but id reckon if you used the correct bulldog that it would add lots of stamina if properly bred imo Micky

    I agree the halogens are good and fit for purpose I use one now but i think I'll have an LED one by next season

    I'll bet you change your mind within a few years pal, LED is the way forward and the technology is moving rapidly forward and is being updated nearly every month soon you probably wont be able to justify buying halogen over LED

    By next season or the one after that we will prob see traditional design disapear for a more torch like (discreet)design, they'll have the same output and run Time just a more compact design than the halogens
