  1. Anne Summers sell dildos mate... so i hear , our idea is to work towards an acceptance of lurcher work throughout GB which means if everyone is interested it would require a certain few people to head it up (a committee), how are you for Scotland NL?
  2. I think as a minimum you're gonna need... Chairman or woman Vice chairman or woman Scotland Northern Ireland North west North East Yorkshire and North Lincs Wales West Midlands East Midlands South west South east East It wont be easy Gaz but nothing worth doing ever is, I'm sure there are suitable candidates for all of these rolls maybe on this site alone, but a sit down one afternoon with those willing to put in some graft to help this start it up could only be a good thing imo
  3. Your right, but to start off with it could do with a few people who want things done to meet up and light the fuse to move forward with regions etc.
  4. I think we are starting to come to grips with the idea we need to do something, Socks being a business man in this area is a perfect example of why we need a unified voice and a good positive candidate to be involved or to go and meet Bonner (obviously if your up for it Socks), would it be a good idea for the people who want to move forward with this to arrange to meet and discuss ? Who would be interested?
  5. They look like they could produce some serious dogs, good luck with it
  6. , getting all the clubs and associations out there to come on board would be near impossible. Did you try, what was the outcome? I take it this is the one Darcy mentioned yesterday, why did everyone else give up? Wheres the enthusiasm? Is there no chance you two would give it another go?
  7. I would be happy to give my time to discuss a way to move forward, we could do with a good group to meet and discuss the way to go about it. I'll travel any where if we are going to achieve something.
  8. great result dewclaw, now DB+Mb the way this council of hunting works there is one representative from each sport present, a negotiating team is needed to put our points across to our representative who'll then take the points to a meeting of the council and report back. So breaking it down into regions to start each region needs a delegate for themselves, who will meet with other delegates and our spokesman at a national level thrash the points out and let the spokesman table the points in front of the Council of Hunting Y.I.S Leeview How do we go about dividing regions, is it counti
  9. Rob, you should make a list of who wants to come, if none of the more credible figures want to come i will, i wouldn't mind a chat with the CA's top man about the future of our sport and what we can do to help promote proper lurcher work, it would me more suitable for at least one person with a wide area of experience within lurcher and terrier game to attend though rather than the young uns but if its what we have to do..... DB i assume you would be up for it?
  10. that's a kind offer DB and i totally agree it needs to be professional, but it may need people who are happy to put the graft in to have a sit down and discuss it properly.
  11. I could look into it but it could be quite costly to do it right, domain names, SEO's to get to the first page in google, graphics, design etc. you could use the free websites but im not sure how they work, if we could get together and set up a group/club its something that should be done properly.
  12. Exactly, it seems lurcher lads are an easy target maybe because we dont speak out enough
  13. i'm up for anything but as per the title of the post i think it needs the attention of some more prominent figures. well up for being part of any delegation though That's my thinking someone with experience in these matters could lead way for us to follow, lets hope its the start of something
  14. I think that's the way forward the pay off should be running dogs, anything else should come secondary, maybe you and a couple others experienced members can arrange to speak with Bonner about a way forward, check Dewclaws Topic it could well be an opening to move forward.
  15. Well thats a start dewclaw at least he acknowledges they don't do enough to communicate, would you be up for meeting the man or could we get someone off here to do it? To be honest its made my day has that, if there is owt i can do to help let me know
  16. I bet you had two helpings of that for breaky Paulus Ive started to do a bit of looking into this issue and like said above we seem to sit back and let it happen, there is no positive light for lurcher work at the minute we need to change it stuff like the below doesnt help either
  17. Maybe the CA focuses the mag and suchlike on the people who are in the CA. It's hardly going to fill the mag and website with lurchers when there are practically no lurcher owners in it.....Get 500 lurcher owners to join up and i can guarantee there'd be more pics and articles for them. There's many thousands of lurcher owners out there.....but I bet you'd never even manage to recruit 100...no 50 even.....too many want a free ride.... We will go round in circles until it's too late.....sadly. The sad thing is Darcy, we dont have to go round in circles, I would of thought with your r
  18. Just to note, while i am at work doing nowt i googled hunting with dogs, one of the first things that pops up and a quote from the bottom of the article, they (the Anti's) are clearly well ahead of us in this game to stop hunting with dogs, the CA by the way didn't even make the first page on a search over the last week in the UK. http://www.houndsoff.co.uk/archives/katie-angus-friends-make-history-at-the-148th-bucks-county-show/ "A committee of volunteers will be formed & across every region we will be targeting as many county shows as we have the resources to cover to ensur
  19. There's a good few thousand people on this site with a similar mindset, we want to hunt legally, it would be a shame in ten years time when we have an anti for a prime minister that's coming down on everything because the antis pay more to think that collectively..we could have done something

  21. I would be happy to help any of the "old farts" who know what their doing in any way i can, it would be a learning experience in itself. To show lurcher & terrier work in a true light, the lads that live for the work and not just the thrill of a kill, IMO it is a must we that we dont hide anymore and stand up and shout with good publicity not arrogance, the CA and others will only listen if we have a voice, if that's a club so be it, maybe someone with some clout can email Tim Bonner and ask exactly why Lurchers &Terriers are being cast out from their campaigns? You can say what yo
  22. Fair points DB, but I can only see us achieving direction if we are all part if the same group/club, if this is outdated what is the way forward?
  23. I dont have the experience to start a lurcher club, this is what i mean about the older generation that need to help the younger lot, sorry no one will ever stop dog work but it could become totally illegal if no-one stands up, which would in turn only attract the wrong youngsters into the sport as with the hunting act imo already has. There is a lot of older chaps who have a lot of knowledge and experience on this site alone who could look into it never mind the wider population if there was anything i could do to help i would be happy to. ATB
  24. Thats not what im saying northern, i usually out on my own, dont need anyone to hold my hand, the point im making is no ones willing to stick together, and the tough times are coming, the point i was making is we should be encouraging youngsters not fecking them off, we need more official groups to combat the anti scum that are working day and night to put a total stop to dog work.
  25. The future of our sport rest on the younger generation, the older ones need to pick the right youngsters and teach the way forward, the game could fall apart quite easily at the minute due to the f***ing around of the some of the older lot, I live in east lancs, can anybody point me to a decent lurcher or terrier club? No, believe me ive looked, called, its down to the experienced to create these clubs so like minded people from young and old, beginner to experienced can come together not to only teach each other but fight together to save dog work in this country, lets face it CA don't care f
