as I keep getting knocked back for permission (I must look like a Pratt) iv decided to send out a few letters can I get some honest criticism (don't take the piss), is there anything I've missed or should take out? I wanted to keep it short and sweet, let me know what you think, I've tried to sound relatively smart! I am going to leave my details and business card at the bottom as well maybe a stamped envelope in case they want to write back and not call? To whom it may concern… As not to intrude on your time I have decided to write a letter to ask permission to provide free pest co

yeh he different all right lol , ive had lurchers 30 years now and had and seen few different xs over the years work, so as soon as he shaped up and lost his puppy fat , I could see what he was about ?.And I knew straight away he be a good dog, he had no prob picking rabbits up for a dog his size. But the main thing I really like about him is his drive in him, he very determined dog when on any quarry, he give 100% to catch +kill it and you cant, ask for any more can you .! I was at the mid game fair sat with the lad who bred him , and his litter sisters +brother are just like him very

Cheers Bird, I see what you mean to look at him you wouldn't expect him to be agile but it's that age old sayin "don't judge a book....." I bet he can tackle though! Good luck with him it's good to see someone using something a bit different, atb

I was walking down a path closed in on either side the other day the fence line is a hedge as I came to pass a gate two young cows startled and set off noticing the youngsters panic an adult quickly charged at the gate well feck me im glad that gate was in the way because there was no where for me to go, ive heard a of people getting killed through the summer months by cattle, I think its a case of staying out of their way or feel the consequences, man or dog

My pups coming on 12 month now and the daft missus thought it would be a good idea a few month ago to rescue a dumped kitten, I explained to her that between the two savage kids and the pup it probably wouldn't last a a week, boy were I wrong the kitten now sleeps with the dog on its bed! I accidently locked it in the kitchen one night and come down to them sleeping together the next morning,I can call her off a cat if she's not already right behind it she's never caught one so not sure what she'd do, wouldn't try and introduce a new cat to an untrained adult dog though.

Just looked into that, thanks Jade.

Thanks Skycat, it is looks like its getting better i have left it open last night after i bathed it in warm salty water and put a sock on her this morning to take her out didnt let her off lead though just a quick walk to do her business and then taken it off again and bathed it before work, it looks clean and healing its not a centimeter deep nor wide so i'll just keep this routine and keep an eye on it, thank for all the advice chaps, Micky
-
personally i would leave it open as the dog will keep it clean, along with holding the foot in warm salted water two or three time a day, Cheers Paulus, thanks for the advise Micky

Thanks chaps, so I don't need to keep it closed? Just keep it clean and out of her way with a bandage, sock or something?

My bitch has got a gash on the back of her foot, not massively deep but more open, I bandaged it closed yesterday after cleaning it and it closed by this morning but opened again when she was messing around what's the best way to get it healed without getting raped by the vet? I 've heard about super glue but is that safe?

As title states does anyone know of any lure coursing clubs in east Lancashire/west yorkshire that lurchers can take part in?

I'd be careful with that live science website some of the studies on their are not based on facts sometimes more fiddled statistics, anyone who knows anything about bulldogs will disagree with the following article http://www.livescience.com/27145-are-pit-bulls-dangerous.html ive heard bad thing about the creator of this website its usually biased opinion not at all fact, im not saying the article you put up is but the statitics in this one are actually made up, each to their own though. at the end of the day dogs have been raised on all types of diets for thousands of years and vary so mu

Some predators do eat greens in the wild but (as far as I'm aware) theirs no definitive answer why but when you speak of predators eating stomach intestines this is a good article based from a scientific study on wolves that's quite interesting and if you follow it up he's not making up what he's wrote http://rawfed.com/myths/stomachcontents.html

Good post but a dog's digestive system is still derived from a predator to digest meat and bone if you feed your dog a raw diet you 'll notice it's crap looks a lot like Fox but bigger even though I do feed a varied diet it would be interesting to know if greens put strain on its digestive system, I found this before and it's a good read it's from 2006 so might slightly outdated lyttp://nutrition.highwire.org/content/136/7/1927S.full

I was bored mate but that was only on the second page of google and read through it with utter shock, some funny comments and like you say you cant negotiate with an idiot! Micky

Just googling at work (Bored) and came across this http://www.huntsabs.org.uk/tactics/sabfish.html is this even legal? how can these arseholes get away with disrupting somebodies sport i know they get away with a lot with the dogs but thats down to the (ridiculous) law, fishing is completely legal why do they not get charged for trying to incite people to ruin somebodies day, i know one thing though if someone threw rocks into my swim they'd follow them, what do you guys think are these people gaining to much power or being ingored by the powers that be to force there own ideology onto oth
