    Truth is the dickhead went on social media bragging about his dogs being trained to fight badgers, and foxes, just the sort of publicity we need these days, banned from keeping dogs for ten years and suspended jail sentence also.     Watching the news yesterday about the 70th aniversary ot the first use of the atomic bomb in anger, it came across as if the americans had commited a war crime, the thinly veiled hypocrisy of the japanese that were interviewed smacked at hypocrisy on another level. Track record of the japanese in that era wasnt exactly faultless they terrorised south east asia, and dropping the bomb saved thousands of lives. Your views please.

    Goverment approval has been granted for the breeding of beagles for use in animal testing in grimston east yorks, so far 40.000 signatures have been received against this. Now i dont know how you stand on this,but im not fond of animals being used like this in the name of research. The one thing that annoys me is Brian may has spoken out against this unit and i find myself in agreement with him, and that hurts.Whats your views.

    Two people killed in the brecon beacons this weekend by lightning, have you ever had a near miss, ive had two in my life first one in the early 80s a lad walking about a hundred yards in front of me was killed when it hit a tree and then hit him on the head, i remember the shockwave as it struck. The second time was last year when out with the dog a dead tree was struck this time only 50 yds away it was left smouldering for a couple of days before falling, hope its not third time unlucky. Have you had any dodgy experiences with it.

    Had mine for ten years now and she is still nailing them on a regular basis, mine threw more to the whippet than the saluki in looks and temperament she balanced out at 23tts, which imo is the ideal size for a ferreting dog, fast as hell off the mark beginning to slow up a bit now which at that age is to be expected, if you want a fast dog to take the bolters, than the early pace that this cross can produce is a cross that i would reccomend.     Cant see a return to the days before the ban, there is no doubt that some sort of fox control will be needed, but probably by licensed pest controllers, riding to hounds is a pretty innefective way of control, lets face it its just a ritualised way of spending a day out on the horse. The use of lurchers would be a far more effective way of control, but would probably cause a public outcry, and as said could have bad implications further down the line.     Lifes experiences and mental attitude, we all know people that get dealt a shit hand from day one and it continues for them all their lives yet they never moan or get depressed, there the people i admire, being tough isnt just about physical strength, years ago i was talking to my grandads friend a veteran of the first day of the somme, being a naive young kid then i asked him if there was ever a time he was scared, he replied there wasnt a time then when i wasnt scared, says it all really he still stuck at it and was one of the fortunate ones.

    Couple of years ago a man in east yorks was killed by a roe when it knocked him over him while he was mountain biking on a remote track on brantingham estate, whether it was protecting young was never proven,but i know what my bet would be.
