  2. have a good look on ebay. i get mine from arthur carter fieldsports. £8.95 per 10 for mk3m collars and £8.45 per 10 for mk3 collars cant remember how much the p&p is.

    well done to burns very strong fighter but i thought mitchell would offer a lot more.but all credit to burns a fighter for scotland to be proud of.

  6. a lad i used to know had a bitch reputably from d.emmerson from bradford many years ago. on the few occasions i saw her work she was a decent little bitch ferreting and lamping. if my memory is still intact i think d.emmerson used gary hoskers spud to breed 3/4 grey 1/4 beddys. not heard of him for years.

  9. for the collar rayovac 393 battery. for the locator a 9v battery. the ones i use are duracell procell size/format-MN1604-6L R61. Or rayovac 9v size-6LR61.

    i have seen litters advertised on here. the same litter advertised on preloved,gumtree, countrymans weekly etc.

  15. lovely pup. i had 1 back in the 80s. i like the cross a great deal probably seen about a dozen run since the mid 80s. good luck with your pup.

  17. remember watching him in the 80s against livingstone bramble and hector camacho. looked a tough rugged fighter. think he fought 1 of the feeney brothers but didnt see it. look forward to reading the book.

  19. always had a lot of time for beddy crosses seen plenty go going back to the early eighties. make very good hunting up and marking daytime dogs. good luck.can be very determined little dogs.

  21. one that pleases you at the work you do with it.it is only your opinion that matters really. different people have different standards and vary with the amount of work they give the dog. just be honest with yourself .
  22. met him in hancocks yard in the eighties had a brief chat with him. im sure many people have enjoyed his books fact and fiction.

Got 1 in 1989 out of remus. lived for 17 years. 25 inch rough coated brindle. excellent temperament. training wise was easy as long as he was not pushed too much when young. made a decent lamping dog, mooching dog, worked well with the terrier bushing. caught a good number of daytime hares although these were hunted up. worked on all types of land no problem with his feet. good jumper and retriever. very obedient dog was a pleasure to own.he was no world beater but always give his best. minus point he was very hard mouthed everything came back crushed from the 1st rabbit to the last he caught
