  1. got a hob done about 7 years ago it cost 40 pounds. but if you definitly dont want to breed just get them spayed.it is a big decision because if you are working them. you could change your mind if they turn out 1st class workers. then you might wish you could breed from them with a good hob. if it was me i would get them jabbed then make a choice after a few seasons.only my opinion take in what other members suggest.

  3. take all the advice you have been given and try it.but you may find these ferrets will always be like this. i had a jill exactly the same it was dig dig nearly all the time.saw her mother work about 2 years after buying her and she was the same. when worked in a large warren did get some bolters. put her in a small one and there was no chance killed everytime.my other 3 ferrets at the time bolted rabbits no problem with very few kills. are your 2 jills litter sisters?
  4. wrote about my beardie lurcher in the beardie thread. in 1987 got a three quarter greyhound quarter border collie out of chuckles and a greyhound. black and white dog 24inch smooth coated. out of all the dogs ive owned he had the most potential. very fast good turn good nose good jumper retrieve to hand. caught rabbits for fun. started to take daytime hares regular. only lived till he was 2. someone poisoned him never found out who. get a genuine one and you could end up with a good alrounder.i think he could have been the one who made a special dog for me had he lived'
  5. just a reply on the topic of beardie lurchers.i owned one for 17 years bred out of remus and a greyhound in 1989. a rough coated dog 25 inch. he was simple to train and had a 1st class temperament. good coat execellent feet. he made a decent rabbit dog day and night. good jumper and retriever.he also caught a good number of daytime hares during his life while out mooching.these were hunted up hares not slipped on.i was always one for going out a first light and just letting the dog hunt up. i was never a coursing man but a do admire good coursing dogs and their owners.i never tried him on fox
