  3. remember watching a old forley video with a bitch on it called mini probably mid nineties looked like a whippet but had a lot of saluki in her breeding. only small but could she pressure a hare ran all over the top of them. looked like she could end the course at anytime but took a fair time to strike.

  13. Bess was the best, but Midge I had a soft spot for her, she gave her all, wether it be knocking afew rabbits over, and unbelievable on hares for a straight whippet greyhound (preban of course) I coursed Bess a couple of times at the East of England Lurcher Coursing Club (Penny Taylor & Stat ran this club) where I was on the commitee for a short while, and she was coursed with Kenny Hall's club for 2 seasons winning their annual coursing stake of £50 plus a cracking trophy, I felt as though I'd won the lottery Mo was used for general mouching and lamping, and was a fair animal. thanks.

  20. Every lurcher ive owned worked day and night. This bitch could put a good show on daytime hares, lamp, take feather, work with a terrier catching bolters when out bushing.and took to ferreting no problem at 7. sire-collie/grey x collie/grey x3/4 grey 1/4 collie. dam 3/4 saluki 1/4 greyhound x whippet greyhound.good bitch on edible game.
  21. fair play. i have seen a good few ped whippets cross greyhounds but no ped whippets.
  22. what would you be using a ped or non ped. are there ped whippets that are 22/23 ?like the look of your little bitch. she was bred in my area. Ped mate, hoping to use a dog that is local that is breeding good stuff i think it is 22" or 23". Could use my cousins racing champion non ped but i like the more robust frame of the ped type. When my father had the bwra racing whippets he was always getting foot trouble and that was running on a flat field. Other people will have different ideas but this is just my personal opinion. As said there is a fair few ped 22" whippets about. thanks
