  2. This one frankel would rival any of paulus fuzzy pics. Bad weather conditions on the fells above ullswater the dots are red deer.
  3. 3,000 ft above sea level one of the highest in the lake district. have a good day.
  4. the pics were taken on place fell. i always started the walk from patterdale. there is a good number of red deer on the fells the far east side of ullswater.i have some pics of beagle hunts in a box in the loft when i get time i will stick some up.

  7. The breeding of the bitch geoff was Sire collie/grey x collie/grey x3/4 grey 1/4 collie. Dam 3/4 saluki 1/4 grey x whippet/grey.

  9. i honestly could not say. coming from where i do its like another world.had some great sightings over the years deer wise etc. many good memories.
  10. Place fell a mooch with the dog in the 90s. the ist pic is a image from the fell much better than my crappy photo.
  11. alot of the fells are within half hour from me but i take them for granted.. it feels like an achievement when your up them and then really appreciate how brilliant this part of the country is which fells have you walked?? lots too many to mention but all the coniston range,round patterdale place fell etc,langdales,riggindale where the golden eagles nested,, blencathra and so on quite a lot more. ive yet to do scafell pike but have fished wast water had some nice charr from there. fished lots of tarns ie easdale,codale(grasmere area)blind tarn,low water,levers water,(coniston area)harrop
  12. great pics. spent many a time in cumbria, fishing mountain tarns, fell walking, and mooching. a fantastic part of the country. dogs look in great nick.
  13. Might be well off the mark, but, they sound like born yappers. Probably the main reason terrier crosses, bedlingtons aside, aren't more popular is the risk of yapping progeny. The worst I ever heard yap was a beddyxwhippet are whippets in general silent. never seen 1 work in 20 odd years. but keep hearing and reading even on the whippet forum that there a fair few yappers within the breed. Cannot speak for other folks whippets, but can honestly say, my whippet never opens up nice one keith. it was a genuine question. i have no experience of the breed.

  15. like the borders temperament and a far superior coat to a beddy. but a beddy for me speed wise.height agility and speaking in general the beddy may have the better nose.

  17. watched st.helens since the 70s. one lad from union signed 1994 scott gibbs lacked a yard of pace but the strength and tacking from the lad was superb very good player.

  20. the bad thing is this does happen to some lurchers. in my area a lurcher was found on a field suffering from stab wounds. it was in the local paper around aug time. there are some sick b*****ds out there.

  22. the best 1 i had was a saluki lurcher x collie lurcher. the best 1 i have seen was a mates 1st cross bedlington greyhound back in the eighties.the best mooching dog i have had the pleasure to watch.
